I recently bought these shoes and unfortunately I’m very disappointed. The size turned out to be wrong, and the shoes themselves are exceptionally uncomfortable—hard and stiff, which makes my foot sit badly in them. After just four hours of walking on dry terrain, I had to take them off because I couldn’t stand it any longer. At this price, I expected definitely better quality. Fortunately, I managed to resell them, so I didn’t have to deal with a return. A completely unsuccessful purchase; I do not recommend them.

Although I generally appreciate the Pentagon brand, I can’t recommend these boots, especially for longer-term use. It has to be said that they are very comfortable, lightweight, look good, and don’t let water in. Unfortunately, their major drawback is that your feet sweat a lot in them. I don’t normally have a problem with excessive foot sweating, and yet after just two hours, even while sitting, my feet are completely wet. In this respect, I was very disappointed, because at this price point such a flaw should not occur.

After almost four months of use, the membrane cracked not only at the toes, but also in other places, which caused a loss of waterproofing. Additionally, the loops for the laces have worn out. It's a shame the designer did not take into account the spots where the shoe most often bends – that's exactly where the membrane failed. Now these shoes are only good for dry days.

This is already my second pair of these shoes. The previous ones lasted seven years. Great footwear. The only downside is the lace loops, which sometimes break off. Fortunately, the cobbler was able to replace them with sturdy ones that didn’t break.

After a trip to the forest, my shoes got soaked with water. The route wasn't long—just 3 km. I've had them for three months, and they started to chafe my feet after the first walk, and now they have gotten this wet.

On the plus side – these shoes are well-made and, despite their fairly sturdy appearance in person, they're lightweight and don't tire your feet even during long walks. I left the textile material without waterproofing, but I protected the faux leather parts with good polish and they handled winter just fine – snow and slush are no problem (tested at the turn of 2025/26). I even stepped into a large puddle of thawed water and the shoes didn’t soak through. Huge plus for the sole – it’s really hard to slip on. Though you have to remember not to expect miracles on ice. On the downside – the lacing system. Instead of a hook, there’s just a hole, which makes it harder to lace quickly, especially when you’re in a hurry or in the dark – it can get frustrating. Another issue is sizing. I usually wear size 41, but I chose 42 to make room for thick winter socks – unfortunately, they turned out too small even with thin socks. Only size 43 was right. Maybe it's due to the rather narrow toe box, but my feet are pretty average. It's worth noting because the toe of the shoe is very stiff and won’t break in with use. Overall, I recommend these shoes – they work great both outdoors and for everyday city use. They're comfortable, weather-resistant, and so far haven’t gotten wet even once. They still look brand new since I bought them, just make sure to care for them regularly. They look great paired with cargo pants. For summer, it’s better to choose lighter colors.
