The shoes are absolutely not suitable for winter conditions—going up or down in the snow is very dangerous in them (unless you’re crawling). I hope they will break in, because despite the standard insole size, they are really tight. Even after waterproofing, they leak. In my opinion, you can find better shoes for this price or go with another brand. Unfortunately, I am disappointed with the purchase. When it gets to -10°C, the shoes don’t work at all. The one advantage is that they’re easy to put on and take off, and they’re very lightweight. However, the sole is completely unsuitable for snow and probably won’t work well in the rain either.
Lowa Z-8N GTX C Boots - Dark Brown
Brown Z-8N GTX tactical boots crafted from a blend of natural nubuck leather and robust Cordura. Perfect for urban footwear and suitable for special unit operators and uniformed services. They offer enduring comfort for extended wear in challenging environments.
Breathable membrane, Climate Control insole
The footwear features materials with a high capacity for water resistance. The waterproof and breathable Gore-Tex membrane effectively allows moisture (sweat) to escape while preventing water from penetrating the boot.
The Climate Control insole ensures proper air circulation, keeping the interior of the boot dry and reducing the likelihood of blisters.
Non-slip sole with profiled tread
The Lowa Tactical Z Trac outsole complies with the SRA standard for slip resistance. Its distinct tread provides superior traction across varied surfaces.
The PU Monowrap sole contributes to the boots' lightweight nature while delivering excellent support, stabilizing the foot and safeguarding it from impacts. In the center of the boot, a special insole offers abrasion resistance during rapid fast-rope descents.
An additional layer of material and an overmolded section of the rubber sole protect the toe and heel. An ankle brace system featuring a soft collar offers sufficient foot stabilization, reducing the risk of injury.
Quick lacing system, loop for easy putting on
The boots come equipped with low-profile metal grommets that facilitate quick lacing and meet skydiving footwear standards. A rear loop on the boot aids in easier donning and removal.
Certificates
The boots adhere to EU standards for personal protective equipment (certified to EN ISO 20347: 2012).

I bought these shoes with some reservation, but after almost a month of daily use, I have to admit it was a good choice and I absolutely do not regret this purchase—the money spent was worth it. They are so comfortable you don’t even feel them on your feet, and they even passed the test at -15°C. I wholeheartedly recommend them.

I share the opinions of others. This is truly one of the best Lowa models—the shoes are great. However, after receiving the Breacher model, I decided to return these because the Breacher wins in terms of ankle support and even more solid construction. Nevertheless, this model is also worth considering. As always, the shipping was fast and the return process was quick and easy.

Initially, I planned to buy cheaper shoes, but after thinking it over for a while, I ordered these and received them in perfect condition—there were no manufacturing flaws or defects. Although they look massive and heavy, they are surprisingly light and comfortable, even after several hours of use. They may feel a little tight at first, but they quickly adapt to your foot. No matter where I use them—in the city, inside a building, on a meadow, or in the forest—I don’t feel any fatigue or discomfort. I recommend them to anyone looking for high boots that provide good ankle support when walking in rough terrain. I also recommend using waterproofing products.

I considered it for a long time because of the price and also tested shoes that were half as expensive. After two weeks in the swamps I confidently give them 5 stars. For caring for the shoes, I recommend products—especially antiaqua and nubuck renovation—because thanks to them, mud hardly sticks at all. Even after stepping ankle-deep into mud, you just need to wait for the shoes to dry and the mud falls off on its own—you just need to lightly wipe them with a damp cloth. I recommend them!

The craftsmanship of the shoes is just perfect—they fit the foot perfectly. The brown color looks beautiful. Don’t hesitate even for a moment! I give them 20 stars!
