In the second season of use, the mesh at the bend began to wear out, which seems quite short-lived for trekking shoes. Additionally, the plastic elements holding the laces snapped – I had to tie the laces by hand.
Alpinus Hydrotex Larouco Trekking Shoes - Black
Lightweight, low-profile trekking shoes in black, crafted for extended use in the field. Ideal for everyday wear as well as brief outdoor adventures and hikes during the spring and summer. The design incorporates a Hydrotex membrane and a robust Vibram sole, providing outstanding grip.
Hydrotex membrane
In the design, the Hydrotex membrane significantly improves waterproof capabilities while facilitating air flow, as well as effective moisture and heat release.
Toe Protection Zone, contoured insole
The footwear's front section features a synthetic Toe Protection Zone rand, which safeguards the toes against mechanical injuries. A contoured insole enhances comfort, while the thin EVA foam insole efficiently absorbs shocks, providing better cushioning.
Vibram sole
The multi-layer Vibram sole features an aggressive tread that ensures effective cushioning and superior grip on both dry and wet surfaces.
Precise lacing system
A precise, streamlined lacing system delivers a tailored fit to suit individual preferences. The convenient drawstring with a stopper enables quick removal and wear. Located on the inner side of the tongue is a lace pocket, and a loop at the back of the upper facilitates easy on and off.
Reflective Alpinus Safety elements
Reflective elements from Alpinus Safety on the upper enhance visibility in low-light situations.

Alpinus is a Polish outdoor brand with a rich history, founded in 1990 by outstanding Himalayan climbers Artur Hajzer, Janusz Majer, and Ryszard Warecki. From the very beginning, its mission has been to create reliable clothing and equipment for people who actively spend time in nature. As one of the pioneering brands in Poland, Alpinus introduced clothing with Gore-Tex membranes to its range, setting new standards of quality. After a period of absence, the brand returned to the market, combining its mountaineering heritage with modern technologies and an ecological approach to production. Today, it is recognized by both professionals and outdoor enthusiasts.

The shoes are light, comfortable, and were great during a short weekend mountain trip. The weather was favorable though, so I didn't get a chance to test them in more difficult conditions. After about 50 km I didn't notice any problems.

These shoes are an example that you only pay for the company name here. They quickly fell apart, and the lacing system broke after a few months. I gave them a chance, but they failed the test. Although they cost less than my Salomons, in the case of that brand, the price also reflects solid quality. I have several pairs of Salomons that maintain a high standard. Here, unfortunately, you pay only for the brand, and the quality does not match the price.

The shoes are really comfortable, practical, and they wear well, but the quick lacing system leaves much to be desired. After three months, the plastic piece holding the lace ends fell off, so the stopper slid off and cannot be properly reattached. The manufacturer should improve this, because due to this flaw, the practicality of the lacing system disappears and the shoes lose value, which influences my low rating.

The footwear is very light and comfortable – well contoured, it does not press or rub the foot. The protector is durable, and the sole provides adequate grip. The lacing system is convenient, though it takes getting used to, but effectively stabilizes the foot.

The shoes are very comfortable – there was no discomfort for the foot right after putting them on. The lacing system allows for quick and easy adjustment, and the sole provides stability on various surfaces. Unfortunately, I had to return them because after only two days of gentle use, the rubber toe protection started to come off. I give 3 stars for comfort, lacing, and the sole.
