Maskpol TM-08 Magazine Pouch - MAPA
The pouch in MAPA camouflage is made of durable Cordura 560. The applied elastic drawstrings allow carrying magazines of different sizes. The interior is equipped with a non-slip insert that reduces the risk of accidental magazine slipping.
MOLLE slots, mounting straps
The pouch surface includes precisely cut slots compatible with the MOLLE system, allowing easy integration with other tactical gear. Mounting is carried out using attachment straps, enabling fastening to a belt or vest.
MAPA camouflage
The MAPA camouflage pattern was designed by Maciej Dojlitko, a graduate and currently a researcher at the Faculty of Architecture and Design of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, the author of, among other publications, Theory of Deconstruction of Visual Communication. Tools for designing military camouflage (Gdańsk 2015). The innovative design, supported by convincing theoretical and experimental arguments, including computer analysis of thousands of photographs of the terrain, attracted the attention of specialists and military clothing manufacturers. In 2017, the MAPA camouflage made its debut at the International Defense Industry Exhibition in Kielce as a camouflage pattern for the Dromader system of accouterment and uniforms by Maskpol, which is part of the Polish Armaments Group. The system was created for soldiers of the Territorial Defense Army, but the MAPA camouflage itself was also considered as a perspective pattern for the entire Polish Armed Forces, where it could replace the wz.93 camouflage. Unfortunately, the MAPA camouflage has not been implemented to date as an official camouflage pattern of the Polish Army.
The main features of MAPA camouflage in the basic forest variant:
- 6 colors forming layers resembling levels on a map,
- colors optimized for operations in the forests of Central Europe,
- use of the illusion of three-dimensionality and anamorphosis effect,
- biomorphic shapes making the design similar to vegetation,
- strongly contrasting elements imitating flashes of light and shadows,
- deformation of the masked silhouette using macro pattern,
- color noise reproduced by means of a micro pattern.
The MAPA pattern is an interesting alternative to the best contemporary camouflage patterns such as PenCott, MultiCam, Kryptek, Flecktarn or Finnish M/05. In some respects it is more advanced than them, and also better reproduces the colors found in Central European forests in the period from later spring to early autumn.

Very good pouches. At first you have to "break them in" a bit and adjust them so they hold the magazines well. Thanks to the tightening feature, you can be sure the magazines won’t fall out. The elastic band additionally secures the magazine from falling out.

I have this pouch mounted on my MAP. It’s very solid and honestly priced. Its depth is appropriate, and the retention is adjusted with a bungee cord. When tightened well, the magazine won’t fall out even while running.

After a year of intensive use, I haven’t had any problems with inserting or removing magazines. I haven’t noticed any construction or quality flaws, so I can wholeheartedly recommend it. Best regards.

I mounted the pouch on a shooting belt and use it during tactical exercises and military shooting. The mounting is sturdy and comfortable. The pouch stays in place, and magazines can be easily inserted and removed. I was pleasantly surprised by Maskpol’s quality. Worth its price.

A durable pouch made of high-quality Cordura – Maskpol maintains a high level of craftsmanship. You can carry M4 and AK magazines in it, though the latter fit a bit less precisely. It works well for carrying a spare magazine on your cummerbund or belt.

There are many different pouches on the market, so the choice isn’t easy... I chose a Polish brand and an interesting camouflage pattern. I’m very satisfied with the quality and usability! I’m completing all my gear! Highly recommend!

The pouch is solid. Despite its open construction, I wasn’t worried that the magazine (PMAG for AR) would fall out. Inserting AK magazines into ASG replicas is harder and takes a bit of practice to do smoothly.
