A lightweight military baseball cap in MAPA B camouflage , equipped with a curved visor that provides good protection from the sun.
The cap is equipped with three velcro (Velcro) panels that allow you to attach any patches or emblems, such as the national flag, the emblem of the unit or the so-called Morale Patches, so you can easily give the cap an individual character. Also on the size-adjustable strap.
The camouflage pattern MAPA was designed by Maciej Dojlitko, a graduate and currently a researcher at the Faculty of Architecture and Design of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, author of, among other publications, Theory of Deconstruction of Visual Communication. Tools for designing military camouflage (Gdansk 2015). The innovative design, supported by convincing theoretical and experimental arguments, including computer analysis of thousands of photographs of the terrain, attracted the attention of specialists and military clothing manufacturers. In 2017, the MAPA camouflage made its debut at the International Defense Industry Exhibition in Kielce as a camouflage pattern for the Dromader system of armor and uniforms from Maskpol, which is part of the Polish Armament Group. The system was created for soldiers of the Territorial Defense Army, but the MAPA camouflage itself was also considered as a perspective pattern for the entire Polish Armed Forces, where it could replace the wz.93 camouflage. Unfortunately, the MAPA camouflage has not been implemented as an official camouflage pattern of the Polish Army to date.
Highlights of the MAPA camouflage in the basic forest variant:
- 6 colors that form layers resembling levels on a map,
- colors optimized for operations in the forests of Central Europe,
- use of the illusion of three-dimensionality and anamorphosis effect,
- biomorphic shapes making the design similar to vegetation,
- strongly contrasting elements imitating flashes of light and shadows,
- deformation of the masked silhouette using macro pattern,
- color noise reproduced by means of a micro pattern.
The MAPA pattern is an interesting alternative to the best contemporary camouflage patterns such as PenCott, MultiCam, Kryptek, Flecktarn or Finnish M/05. In some respects, it is more advanced than them, and better reproduces the colors found in Central European forests in the period from later spring to early autumn.
The material used to sew the cap is a combination of soft cotton and durable polyester in a 50/50 ratio. The material is light, breathable and pleasant to the touch. It is characterized by high resistance to abrasion and tearing, thanks to the Rip-Stop weave.
The adjustable fastener located at the back allows for a perfect fit for the wearer.

Great MAPA camouflage. The cap is well made, I have no complaints. The material is breathable and pleasant to the touch – even though it's not mesh, it does its job well. The Velcro adjustment is very convenient. The product is worth recommending, and the brim is the perfect length.

The camouflage does the job. The cap is very strong, another plus is the large Velcro panel at the front and the Velcro adjustment. It gives the impression of being breathable, which I will verify in warmer conditions.

The camouflage convinced me, because I've wanted something in MAPA for a long time. From the very first contact, you can see the high quality of workmanship! After putting it on, only positive impressions. The polycotton blend works great. I don't know the exact size of my head, but after adjusting, the cap fits perfectly. I highly recommend it to anyone considering a purchase – it's worth it!

Among the MAPA caps, this model stands out in particular because it is designed for use with hearing protectors – there is no snap on top, so nothing presses against the head. It would be nice to have a cloth under the visor to wipe your forehead. Overall, I am satisfied.

We'll see how it performs in heat and with longer wear, but the first impression is very positive: the material is thin and pleasant to the skin, it seems perfect for summer. With a head circumference of 59 cm, the cap needs to fit a bit at the brim so it doesn't press on the temples.

A solid cap. I was looking for a deeper model than the classic "helikonka" and I'm happy with my choice. The thin material is similar to that used in uniforms, which makes the cap lighter and less tiring to wear on hot days. I recommend this product.
