The usage temperatures of the Carinthia Tropen sleeping bag are defined according to EN 13537:

• T-comfort: 9.4 C – the lowest temperature at which a woman can sleep comfortably through the night,
• T-limit: 5.1 C – the minimum temperature at which a man can sleep without discomfort,
• T-extreme: -7.9 C – the lowest temperature for survival. Not recommended for regular use.

The exterior is constructed from lightweight, water-resistant Shelltrans fabric, which gently envelopes the inner layer to create an effective insulation barrier. Inside, it features polyamide, renowned for its minimal moisture absorption and improved resistance to mechanical damage.

Inside, the sleeping bag is packed with synthetic G-Loft insulation, which aids in keeping a consistent temperature. Even with extensive use, washing, or exposure to dampness, this material maintains its insulating capabilities. The Thermoflect layer boosts insulation by reflecting body warmth back into the sleeping bag.

Trapezoidal shaping in the foot section enhances thermal comfort and leg room, effectively promoting heat retention in the lower part of the bag.

The Tropen model functions effectively as an inner layer when used in conjunction with other sleeping bags. This configuration enhances the thermal efficiency of the system while permitting excess moisture to escape. Users can maintain thermal comfort even in temperatures down to -20 C. The Sleeping Bag System - Defence 4 technology, combined with the chosen fabrics, ensures low weight and a compact packing size.

The sleeping bag is equipped with a two-way zipper on the left side, enabling it to be completely unzipped. The Anti Snag system ensures the fabric doesn't catch during zipping. A Velcro flap at the top prevents the zipper from accidentally opening while you sleep.

The hood at the top of the sleeping bag enhances thermal comfort by enveloping the head and shielding it from the cold. Its ergonomic design offers extra protection against moisture and wind. A built-in mosquito net situated in the front flap, with snap buttons, is zipped around the hood to efficiently guard the user against insects.

When packed, the sleeping bag takes up little space, making it easy to carry and store. Its packed dimensions are 19 x 24 cm, and the weight is 1100 g, allowing comfortable transport without unnecessary burden.

The set is equipped with a compression sack featuring snap buckles, ensuring the sleeping bag remains secure during transport and is protected from dirt and physical damage.

MultiCam is an advanced camouflage pattern that was developed in 2002 by the American company Crye Precision in collaboration with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) as a component of the Objective Force Warrior program. The aim was to design a flexible camouflage pattern suitable for diverse terrains and varying environmental conditions. The MultiCam pattern features seven colors, generating smooth transitions between greens, browns, and beiges. Consequently, it efficiently blends with different backgrounds by taking on green hues in forested areas or brown and beige tones in desert settings. Particularly in Central and Eastern Europe, it performs exceptionally well in autumn and in areas with dry vegetation. MultiCam has garnered international acclaim and is utilized by numerous military forces and special units. In 2010, it was officially adopted by the US Army for soldiers deployed in Afghanistan, replacing the previous Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). This pattern is also accessible to civilian users and is a favored option among military and airsoft enthusiasts.
