Carinthia HIG 5.0 Trousers - MultiCam

Insulated trousers in MultiCam camouflage designed for use in low temperatures down to -20 degrees Celsius and in changeable weather. Developed as an insulating layer providing a high level of thermal protection.

The outer layer is made from windproof Carinthia SOF 2L material, while the interior is filled with synthetic G-Loft insulation with a grammage of 125 g/m2. The design features one external pocket, adjustable suspenders, and two-way side zippers, allowing the trousers to be put on quickly without removing footwear.

The outer layer is made of Carinthia SOF 2L based on polyamide. The lightweight, windproof, and hydrophobic fabric limits the penetration of cold air and the absorption of moisture during brief contact with rain or a wet environment. The trouser lining is made of 100% polyamide, making it easier to put the garment on over thermal base layer underwear. Durable fabric reinforcements have been placed in the high-stress knee and seat areas to increase resistance to wear during use in different positions.

Warmth is provided by synthetic G-Loft insulation with a grammage of 125 g/m2 made of 100% polyester. G-Loft fibers trap warmed air inside the insulating layer, helping maintain thermal comfort in low temperatures. The resilient filling does not clump and retains its warming properties even when damp.

The trousers feature one external pocket, located at the rear, secured with a concealed zipper and protective flap. The pocket is intended for the safe carrying of small everyday items.

The model is equipped with newly designed adjustable suspenders that stabilize the trousers during movement, while the high waist at the rear of the waistband covers the lower back and protects the kidneys from drafts. Along the legs run separating two-way zippers with a windproof strip, allowing the trousers to be quickly put on or taken off while wearing boots and accouterment, and also making it possible to regulate ventilation during intense exertion. The packed dimensions of 18 x 31 cm and the low weight make the garment easy to carry in a backpack.

MultiCam is a modern camouflage pattern developed in 2002 by the American company Crye Precision in cooperation with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) as part of the Objective Force Warrior program. Its purpose was to create a universal camouflage pattern effective in varied terrain and changing environmental conditions.

The MultiCam pattern consists of seven colors creating gradient transitions between shades of green, brown, and beige. Thanks to this, it adapts to the background, taking on green tones in forest terrain or brown and beige tones in desert areas - in the conditions of Central and Eastern Europe, it is particularly effective in autumn and among dry vegetation. MultiCam has gained recognition worldwide and is used by numerous armed forces and special units. In 2010, the camouflage was officially adopted by the US Army as the pattern for soldiers stationed in Afghanistan, replacing the earlier Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). The pattern is also available to civilian users, making it a popular choice among military surplus and airsoft enthusiasts.
