Wisport Zipper Fox 25 l Backpack - MAPA

A backpack with a capacity of 25 liters, designed for survival and military use, but will also work well for typical hiking and everyday use. It is an improved version of the SilverFox backpack. Made of Cordura 500, characterized by high durability and resistance to weather conditions.

Very easy access to the backpack is provided by an inverted U-shaped zipper. This solution makes quick access from both the top and side possible. There is also an option to completely unfold. The backpack has a total of seven pockets. Next to the carrying system is a pocket designed for camelbak, which allows access from the outside, without opening the backpack.

The modified SAS carrying system has a removable fiberglass frame and a detachable hip belt. The system additionally functions to stabilize the luggage, even under uneven loads. The backpack is equipped with MOLLE webbing system both on the outside and on the inside. On the straps attached to the side of the backpack, it is possible to attach side Sparrow pockets.

The camouflage pattern MAPA was designed by Maciej Dojlitko, a graduate and currently a researcher at the Faculty of Architecture and Design of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, author of, among other publications Theory of deconstruction of visual message. Tools of military camouflage design (Gdansk 2015). The innovative design, supported by convincing theoretical and experimental arguments, including computer analysis of thousands of photographs of the terrain, attracted the attention of specialists and military clothing manufacturers. In 2017, the MAPA camouflage made its debut at the International Defense Industry Exhibition in Kielce as a camouflage pattern for the Dromader system of armor and uniforms from Maskpol, which is part of the Polish Armament Group. The system was created for soldiers of the Territorial Defense Army, but the MAPA camouflage itself was also considered as a perspective pattern for the entire Polish Armed Forces, where it could replace the camouflage pattern wz.93. Unfortunately, the MAPA camouflage has not been implemented as an official camouflage pattern of the Polish Army to date.

Most important features of the MAPA camouflage in the basic forest variant:

- 6 colors forming layers resembling levels on a map,
- colors optimized for operations in the forests of Central Europe,
- the use of the illusion of three-dimensionality and the anamorphosis effect,
- biomorphic shapes making the design similar to vegetation,
- strongly contrasting elements imitating flashes of light and shadows,
- deformation of the masked silhouette by means of a macro pattern,
- color noise reproduced by means of a micro pattern.

The MAPA pattern is an interesting alternative to the best contemporary camouflage patterns such as PenCott, MultiCam, Kryptek, Flecktarn or Finnish M/05. In some respects, it is more advanced than them, and better reproduces the colors found in Central European forests in the period from later spring to early autumn.
