The shoes look attractive, are made of velour, and their sole is very durable – resistant to abrasion and impacts, you could consider it indestructible. Unfortunately, that's where their advantages end. The footwear is very uncomfortable; the sole is as stiff as in work boots. I tried different insoles, but my foot still slides, which causes toe pain – even after a short walk, I feel as if I had a board under my feet. After using these shoes, my feet are extremely tired. I bought three pairs but sold two of them. I don’t understand where the positive opinions about them come from. I decided to purchase Merrell tactical boots and am very satisfied with them. In my opinion, Protektor Grom is poorly refined footwear that only pretends to be tactical or trekking shoes. I do not recommend.
Protektor Grom Light Boots - Navy Blue
Durable tactical boots, designed with a reinforced construction that provides protection to the ankle joint. The upper with a raised height is made of high quality velour leather. They use a quick lacing system, which increases the comfort of use.
High upper made of velour leather
The high upper made of velour leather is distinguished by its excellent breathability. The ankle is protected by a leather insert running from the heel to the laces. The upper is finished with a soft velour collar that wraps around the calf and minimises the risk of chafing due to contact with the stiff edge of the boot.
Foot protection and support during movement
The heel and toe of the boots have been reinforced with an extra layer of leather and rubber over the sole, which effectively protects against bruises. Such a solution protects the wearer's feet against impacts with kerbs, protruding pieces of armour, stones or other hard surfaces. Both the outer and inner edges of the foot are protected from injury, which plays a key role during intensive use in demanding terrain.
Flexible PU sole
The polyurethane (PU/PU) sole is distinguished by its high flexibility, abrasion resistance and resistance to oils, greases and diluted acids and alkalis. Its profile is designed to provide excellent traction on a variety of urban surfaces such as asphalt, concrete, cobblestones, gravel and gravel. The sole design allows for smooth and stable movement on both flat and inclined surfaces, including stairs and ladders.
Certified NATO-grade quality
The manufacturer of Grom footwear, Protektor S.A., holds an AQAP 2110:2006 certificate, which confirms compliance with NATO's stringent requirements for quality and functionality of military footwear. This is a guarantee that the boots meet the highest standards required of tactical footwear created for intensive use in demanding conditions.

The shoes are very comfortable, worth trying on before purchase – for me a size smaller than usual turned out to be better. I've been wearing them for over half a year and see no faults or significant signs of wear. They are light, do not tire the feet even on long walks, and perform well both daily and in rougher terrain. In my opinion, it was a very successful purchase.

Review after 5 months: The shoes look great and are very comfortable and solid. The only downside is the very light colour of the sole – because of this, the leather gets dirty quicker and unfortunately it's quite visible.

I've been using these shoes for over a year and they show no signs of wear. They are so comfortable that I practically don’t notice them on my feet. Great both for the city and hiking trips. Highly recommended!

Shoes bought in August 2024 with summer in mind. Very simple, light and comfortable. All-day walking is not tiring; from spring to autumn, there's no significant wear besides slight lightening. I use them in the forest for work – I’m a forester. They’re resistant to branches, shrubs and mud. They let in water because they're not coated, but they dry quickly, sometimes even on the foot. Previously, I had branded Altamas, which wore out quickly, and here there’s no damage, the leather is intact, the sole shows no wear marks. They don’t slip in mud and are easy to clean. Great shoes at a good price – I can honestly recommend them.

These shoes are really good. Comfortable, solid, made of high-quality leather. My feet don’t sweat even on the hottest days of this summer. Price is reasonable as well. Definitely worth buying.

Very durable and extremely comfortable shoes. I’ve been using them for over two years and still there are no signs of wear. Solid craftsmanship and high-quality materials. Plus, a great promotional price.

I really value these shoes – they’re comfortable, you wear them almost like enclosed sandals. I had the black version, same model in size 44 and it was perfect. It's worth paying attention to the tongue of the shoe – in one pair it was very stiff and pressed, in another it was soft and fit well.
-
Fantastic shoes! I walked in them for a few days in the desert – I wore thick socks and long trousers. Even after a whole day walking on sand, I didn’t find a single grain inside! Like all leather shoes, it's worth breaking them in before long-term use.

This is already another pair of these shoes that I use. For hot days, I haven’t found anything better. At first, they needed a bit of breaking in, but after a few hours, they fitted well. The quick lacing really works – just pull and you're done. Great summer shoes at a very good price.

Perfect shoes not only for summer but also for the transitional period. The leather quickly adjusts, I’ve never had any blisters. They absorb impact on the ground very well. I’ve already bought another pair, as after two years I wore out the soles of the previous ones – that's the best recommendation.

Footwear from the Polish brand Grom, which is important to me. I think they look fantastic, and for high boots, they are very comfortable. Unfortunately, I had to send them back because the size turned out to be too small. I waited a long time for size 42, but it never appeared, so I had to buy elsewhere :-/

In my opinion, for this price you get very good quality – you won't find better shoes in this price range. I’ve used them for about 7–8 months and nothing bad has happened, they’re very comfortable, although without better insoles it’s hard to walk over 7 km, but with insoles you can walk in them all day. The laces are durable and tying is quick. I disagree with opinions that the foot ‘floats’ in them – even in summer, I had no such problem. The leather is flawless, everything’s fine. Overall good shoes, although they could be a bit more comfortable. If someone’s looking for cheap shoes of this type, I definitely recommend them. Naturally, they need a bit of breaking in, but after a few outings they fit perfectly.

The shoes perform excellently in the city. They are light, comfortable, and can easily be worn all day without fatigue. They provide good ventilation, especially on hot days. They look good and suit many situations. I recommend them to anyone who needs comfortable everyday footwear!

Review after almost a year and a half of use – the shoes are still intact and without faults, very comfortable and light. Made entirely of leather, without lining, so they breathe very well. They’ve walked many kilometres with me and I often use them at the shooting range. These are among my favourite shoes. I also have a grey version, which already has a lining.
