Olight Marauder 2 Cool White Rechargeable Torch - 14,000 lumens, 800 m range

You have to be careful with this torch :D. Thankfully it’s got a proximity sensor. I’ve never seen anything like it and my friends’ reactions are just as interesting :) It’s a device designed for special tasks.

The amount of light generated by this torch is amazing and hard to describe in words. I've never seen such a powerful device before. On top of that, it's equipped with both a spotlight and a flood mode, can be used as a powerbank and is very solidly built and protected against overheating. Simply brilliant.

It’s more like a lantern than a torch. It’s heavy, but very well balanced and intuitive to use. The proximity sensor, which automatically reduces the light power, is a big plus. I recommend it!

A torch that's definitely worth recommending. It's solid, well balanced, and comfortable to use. The closable charging port is a brilliant feature. In the strongest mode, the beam makes a huge impression—shame it doesn't last long. In two words: really serious equipment.

Great torch, gives out a very strong light, charging is simple, and the whole thing is made of metal. I bought it quickly because I needed it immediately, but it was still an excellent choice in terms of functionality.

The packaging looks excellent and very professional; however, most of the protective materials and extras are single-use, which unfortunately burdens the environment. Although I am not a fan of this approach, from a marketing perspective it looks like a premium product. The torches (Marauder mini, X9R and this one – I have several of each) are perfectly made and I have no complaints about them. Before buying, it’s worth considering whether you need a narrow beam (here the Javelot series is better than the Marauders) or rather wide illumination – in that case, the Marauder 2, mini and X9R work brilliantly; the focused mode is an added advantage only in the mini and Marauder 2 versions. You should also consider battery life at maximum settings – in practice, you use the torch at lower levels, because at the strongest setting the light only lasts for a moment, so it’s not suitable for long-term SAR work or tactical tasks. It’s also important to note the working temperature – in our climate this is important, especially during long winter nights. The number of lumens doesn’t say it all – often candelas are more important, and the Marauder 2 has twice as many as the X9R, which affects range. Despite initial criticism of the square beam, I think it’s practical and you quickly get used to it – even illumination without reflections increases efficiency. My only complaint concerns the wrist strap – it’s too long in the short version and uncomfortable in the long one; personally, I bought a carabiner and clip it to my belt. A holster like the Mini’s would be useful, but was probably abandoned here because of the size. The equipment works great. I highly recommend the torch after considering these points and I encourage Militaria to offer an additional box, like with the X9R. For me, it’s definitely the best and most versatile model of the three (and most of the Olight torches I have). I just hope the battery lasts a long time, even though it’s non-replaceable.

It's a real beast, shines very brightly. I especially recommend it if you need to find something or someone far away, for example in the forest.

I am really impressed by the power of this torch. I'd compare its brightness to car headlights.

The device is incredibly impressive. I expected a high standard as I already use the Seeker 2, but the capabilities of this torch really surprised me. I mainly use it while sailing at sea. Entering the port at night with the Marauder 2 feels almost like daytime. The range and power are outstanding!

Brilliant! At this price you won't find anything better or even similarly good. It's great that you can choose between a wide or distant, narrow beam. It charges quickly. After charging, be sure to close the port. There is a guide online on how to disable automatic light reduction when there are obstacles (useful, for instance, in rain when the torch "thinks" something is close and lowers the power). If I remember correctly, just click the knob quickly 15 times to turn it off.
