Mil-Tec Softshell Explorer insulated waterproof trousers - Olive

I have these trousers in two colours. The advantages are waterproofness, thermal comfort and spacious pockets. The downside is that they are fairly wide. I am 188 cm tall, weigh 85 kg, and have a waist circumference of about 90 cm, so I chose L. The trousers have drawstrings at the waist and at the bottom of the legs.

I tested the trousers at -10°C, they worked well with the legs laced up. At 185 cm tall and 92 kg, size M fits (although the sizing is rather unusual). The material feels odd to the touch, but that’s probably due to the waterproofing. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase.

Great trousers, very well insulated, so you don’t feel cold even during winter walks or camping in subzero temperatures. I recommend!

There was a problem with the size when choosing the trousers, but the exchange was quick and efficient and I finally matched the right one. They fit at the waist, the width of the legs doesn’t bother me, and the lower adjustment is very helpful. I had doubts about the length, but when walking it’s not a problem. The trousers are warm, so above 10 degrees they may not be suitable – ideal for winter trips, they're likely too warm for everyday use indoors.

The trousers seem very warm and comfortable, but unfortunately they are definitely too big, despite choosing according to the chart and my usual size. I decided to return them. I just want to emphasise that the sizing is very much overestimated – I agree with other reviews.

Very good trousers, the cut is also quite good. Unfortunately, the Mil-Tec brand hasn’t got the sizing right – the trousers are two sizes larger than stated. If you take this into account, they are very practical. I returned them and bought elsewhere because my size was missing here, but I still recommend them.

The sizes are slightly larger than standard. The trousers are very well made and provide warmth – in most Polish conditions thermal clothing isn't even needed. They have excellent waterproofness. I recommend them.

The trousers are very warm, but the sizing is significantly exaggerated and the legs are exceptionally wide.

I haven't tested them in the rain yet. I have a 100 cm waist and 185 cm height, I bought size L. They are slightly too big, but I’m keeping them — M might be too small. According to the chart, L is 94–99 cm, but in reality they are 104 cm. The legs are a bit long, but they can be tightened with a drawstring over the shoe.

Great trousers. I am 182 cm tall, 90 cm waist, and size M fits perfectly! You do have to be careful as the sizes run quite large.

The sizing is very overestimated, especially for sizes L and XL. Other than that, the trousers are warm, but they have very wide legs, which can be bothersome during mountain hikes, as they may flap in the wind. The advantage is the very spacious pockets.

Very fast delivery – that alone is a big plus, and I haven’t yet assessed the product itself. First impression on opening is positive – the practical velcro belt makes fitting much easier. Numerous pockets and careful workmanship are impressive. Still haven’t tested in the field, but I think they’ll work great.

The product is indeed very solid and does not let water through. They are lightweight and comfortable to wear. Sizes are more generous than standard, e.g. L comes up a bit bigger. Also ideal for winter, you can wear thermal underwear underneath.

For the first time I have received trousers that fit perfectly – they're neither too long, too tight, nor too loose at the waist. Thanks to the elastic waistband they adjust to the silhouette themselves, which wasn't mentioned in the product description, but is a big advantage. Additionally, they have many pockets, are warm and provide good ventilation. Size L at 110 kg.

The trousers are comfortable, warm and very well made.
