The gloves are not suitable for heavy work, but for occasional use they are fine. With regular use, the material wears out quickly despite the claimed durability. On the plus side, they are waterproof and have additional protectors. I won't judge the price as there may be high production costs. However, they did not meet my expectations.
Mechanix Wear Coldwork Waterproof Leather M-Pact Driver F9-360 Tactical Gloves - Tan/Black
Tactical gloves made of strong DuraHide leather, which provides resistance to cuts. They are equipped with a waterproof HiPora membrane and 100 g/m2 synthetic PrimaLoft Gold fill. They will prove their worth during auto workshop or DIY work, as well as in tactical and survival applications.
Durable Durahide leather and HPPE lining, cut resistance, TPR panels
The model is made of damage-resistant DuraHide leather, which, combined with HPPE lining, provides cut resistance in accordance with EN 388 F and ANSI A9 standards. On the top side of the gloves are ergonomically shaped panels made of thermoplastic rubber (TPR), which protect the hand from abrasions and impacts. The panels meet the requirements of EN 13594 and ANSI 138 Level 2.They are equipped with special compartments that allow the fingers to bend freely and the hand to be clenched into a fist.
The materials used in the production ensure abrasion resistance (in accordance with EN 388 level 4), in addition, they show anti-slip properties and fit the user's hand very well. Special stitching on the fingertips allows precise handling of weapons, radios and delicate equipment.
Waterproof, windproof and breathable HiPora membrane
The gloves are equipped with a modern HiPora membrane, which provides full waterproofness and windproofness. Despite its properties, it is characterized by high breathability, which allows for efficient removal of excess moisture and gwanatować adequate air circulation. The fabric of which the membrane is made is flexible, so it does not restrict freedom of movement.
PrimaLoft Gold fill with a grammage of 100 g/m2
Lightweight PrimaLoft Gold synthetic insulation with a grammage of 100 g/m2 effectively warms the hands and guarantees optimal thermal comfort in harsh weather conditions. It features excellent breathability and prevents overheating of the hands in gloves.
Thanks to its hydrophobic properties, the filling provides thermal insulation even when wet, making the gloves a suitable choice for unpredictable weather conditions.
Internal protector and elastic welt
A widened cuff with an internal protector effectively protects the upper part of the hand from abrasions. Elastic welts ensure a very good fit of the gloves to the wrists, and small straps make them easy to put on and take off.
ANSI/ISEA 105-XA9X, EN388-4X43FP, EN511-221, and ANSI/ISEA 138 standards
The gloves meet the American protective standard ANSI/ISEA 105 Level XA9X in terms of resistance to cuts, abrasion, and puncture, which means:
- X: abrasion resistance (scale from 1 to 6)
- A9: cut resistance (scale from A1 to A9)
- X: puncture resistance (scale from 0 to 5)
The gloves comply with the protective standard EN388 at level 4X43FP for mechanical hazard resistance, which means:
- 4: abrasion resistance (scale 0-4)
- X: circular blade cut resistance (scale 0-5)
- 4: tear resistance (scale 0-4)
- 3: puncture resistance (scale 0-4)
- F: TDM cut resistance (ISO 13997) (scale A-F)
- P: impact protection (test passed)
Cold protection is compliant with EN511 at level 221, meaning:
- 2: convective cold resistance (scale 0-4)
- 2: contact cold resistance (scale 0-4)
- 1: water penetration resistance (0 or 1)
The gloves comply with the American standard ANSI/ISEA 138 Level 2 for impact energy absorption capability, which means:
- 1: basic impact protection
- 2: medium level of protection
- 3: high level of protection
In ANSI/ISEA 105, abrasion resistance is rated on a scale from 1 to 6 and refers to the number of cycles a material can withstand before wearing out. Cut resistance is classified from A1 to A9 (from lowest to highest protection). Puncture resistance is rated from 0 to 5 and indicates the force required to puncture the glove surface with a sharp point (not applicable to needle punctures).
EN388 and EN511 standards define protection levels for gloves: a value of 0 indicates no protection, while higher values (4, 5) indicate maximum resistance. For water permeability: 0 means penetration, 1 means no penetration.
For the TDM test method (ISO 13997), letter markings are used, where A indicates the lowest and F the highest level of cut protection.
Impact protection is assessed based on the transmitted force (in kN) during an impact test. The lower the transmitted force, the higher the level of protection provided by the gloves.
X marking means the parameter was not tested or is not applicable. P marking confirms the glove meets the impact protection requirement.
