Lightweight hooded jacket by Helikon. Effectively protects against cold, wind and light rain. It is equipped with four practical pockets: two classic hip pockets, one external pocket on the chest and one internal pocket. All pockets are fastened with sturdy YKK zippers.

The outer material is Windpack nylon fabric , which has been coated with moisture-repelling Teflon. The insulation is a high-quality Climashield Apex synthetic fill, which provides excellent protection against the cold, even when completely soaked. The insulation is also lightweight and has good compression properties. Inserts of elastic and breathable material VersaStretch have been added under the arms, which positively affects the comfort of the jacket.

The elastic piping at the bottom of the jacket, at the cuffs and at the edge of the hood effectively protects from the wind. A velcro panel is sewn on the arm allowing to attach any patch or emblem such as a national flag, unit emblem or so-called Morale Patches.

Wolfhound jacket is lightweight and easily compressible. It can be packed into a small pouch. It will work well for both longer expeditions and everyday use.

Camouflage Desert Night Camo

Desert Night Camo (DNC) is a specialized camouflage pattern developed by the US Army in the 1980s for night operations in desert areas. Designed to be layered over other uniforms, it was mainly used during Operation Desert Storm in the Persian Gulf. The pattern consists of a grid-like arrangement of dark green squares and crosses on an olive-green background. Its main purpose was to disrupt early generations of enemy night vision devices. While it proved moderately effective in practice at suppressing images in night vision devices, it was an innovative approach to night camouflage.

Very good jacket. It's lightweight, easy to pack, yet keeps you warm. It's perfectly adequate for Polish winters in recent years. At minus 10 degrees, if you wear something warm underneath, it keeps you comfortable. Unfortunately, it doesn't protect against rain, but it works fine in light drizzle or snow. On the plus side, it’s very breathable. I definitely recommend it!

This is already my second wolfhound. The first one, in classic camogrom, I've had for five years and even though I didn't take care of it, the jacket still does its job perfectly – there are no abrasions and it still keeps me warm. I bought the second one only because it became available in woodland. Excellent product, I honestly recommend it.

For over a year I hesitated about buying this jacket, but its price, which seemed too high for such a thin garment, put me off. In the end, a promotion and KSK points convinced me to buy it. At first, I chose size L, which was appropriate, but not entirely comfortable because of my belly. I decided on XL, which turned out to be much looser and provides space for an extra layer, for example a fleece. The jacket is really light, comfortable, and considering its thickness, keeps you very warm – thanks to the insulation and windproof outer layer. Unfortunately, you still need a rain poncho (I choose one in the same Tramontane camouflage). The jacket copes fine with drizzle, but soaks through in heavier rain. The biggest advantages are its compact size when packed and its lightness – that's exactly why I chose it.

Very good jacket, exceptionally light, and just as importantly, it can be quickly packed into a pouch, so it is easy to carry with you. The price may seem high, but you have to pay for high quality. I definitely recommend it.
