Helikon Vagabond Seat Pad - Black

A sit pad is for me an essential piece of kit for trips to the forest, and sometimes it’s useful in the city, especially when it’s wet. I really appreciate the compactness of this Helikon mat, as it takes up little space in the backpack or can be clipped to a belt. Even though it is not thick, it increases comfort on hard surfaces and, above all, provides great insulation, e.g. on concrete.

I have been using this mat for 5-6 years and it’s excellent! Some people suggest it could be bigger or softer – I have such a one from militaria.pl, but this one fits perfectly into the side pocket of my trousers. So, in short: "The best mat is the one you have with you." It may sound funny, but if you suddenly need to work in the city, being able to sit on a dirty surface thanks to this mat is like relaxing in your armchair at home, especially when the work drags on and you always have the mat tucked away in your pocket.

Choosing my gear in Ad.Green, I added this mat as well. At first glance, it might seem a bit small, but probably the size was well thought out. The ability to fold, compress, and attach it to various elements is a great advantage. The price is high, but acceptable when on sale. I recommend it.

I always carry it in my backpack, and I barely notice it. I have the olive version against coyote and the colour difference is minimal. It’s compact, a bit small, but better to have than not. I appreciate that, thanks to the closure, it can be attached to the outside of the backpack, saving space inside.

Good morning, After receiving the product, I thought it was too small, but after unfolding, it turned out to be just right. It is lightweight, has perfect dimensions, and takes up little space. Highly recommend.

First impression after opening – it seems very small. However, it is sufficient for one person, lightweight, and does not take up much space in a backpack. When folded, it even fits in a small pocket of the backpack. You can also attach it using the Molle/Pals system and have it at hand. Sturdily made of cordura, it will last for a long period of intense use.

Very good mat for outdoor use, extremely light and compact. It insulates perfectly, so you don't feel the cold. My wife often uses it because she likes to sit on the ground. I can fully recommend it.

I chose this product based on the opinions of friends and I am very pleased with the purchase. I think the colour I picked is perfect for woodland conditions. Be careful with open flames – a spark from the campfire made a small hole in the outer layer.

I have already bought four of these mats because they are well made, lightweight, and compact. This version fits well with the Helikon Groundhog 10 l backpack in adaptive green. The difference in shades is very small and is due to the different fabrics.

The mat is small, so it's not suitable for longer sitting, but it works perfectly during short breaks. Folding it into a cube is a big advantage. It would be nice if Helikon offered a larger and thicker version of this mat, as it would perform even better on hard surfaces.

Great mat from Helikon, provides good protection from the cold ground. Takes up very little space when folded. It is light yet durable. It can be easily attached to a backpack or belt.

The mat is compact and the seating surface is adequate. However, the folding method could be better thought out – currently, if the bottom gets dirty or wet, folding it means the dirty part touches the clean side for sitting.
