The long-sleeved thermal shirt Helikon-Tex in Black is designed to be worn directly on the skin. It serves as the base clothing layer in the U.S. Army’s ECWCS (Extended Cold Weather Clothing System). Made from a lightweight and durable Helikon-Tex Quick Dry fabric, it effectively wicks moisture away, keeping you dry and comfortable.
Thermoactive Quick Dry material
The shirt is made from thermal knit fabric Helikon-Tex Quick Dry, composed entirely of polyester. The fabric dries quickly and efficiently moves moisture away from the skin, providing thermal comfort even during high physical exertion. A specially engineered fiber weave enhances evaporation efficiency. The garment works seamlessly with additional layers of the ECWCS system or other thermal clothing, making it suitable for cold and transitional weather conditions.
Well thought out cut
The shirt features long sleeves with integrated thumb holes, preventing them from riding up during movement and providing extra warmth to the base of the hands. The back panel is extended to prevent the shirt from lifting while crouching, offering better protection for the lower back and kidney area against cold. Flat seams are used to reduce the risk of skin irritation and enhance wearing comfort.
