Helikon Swagman Roll Double-sided Poncho with sleeping bag function - Desert Night Camo/US Desert

An insulated rain poncho with a hood that also functions as a blanket, sleeping bag, sleeping pad or emergency jacket. Thanks to its double-sided camouflage, it allows it to better match its surroundings.

Filled with Climashield Apex 67 g/m2 insulating material, the poncho is lightweight and provides high thermal comfort. The outer DWR coating protects against dirt and light rain.

The Swagman Roll is equipped with YKK zippers that allow it to be quickly transformed into a sleeping bag. Wojin Plastic buckles allow for additional adjustment and customization for the wearer. On the front of the poncho is a flat zippered pocket. An integrated carry pocket allows the poncho to be folded quickly and conveniently.

The Swagman model is compatible with Helikon's classic poncho.

Desert Night Camo (DNC) is a specialized camouflage pattern developed by the US Army in the 1980s for night operations in desert areas. Designed to be layered over other uniforms, it was mainly used during Operation Desert Storm in the Persian Gulf. The pattern consists of a grid-like arrangement of dark green squares and crosses on an olive-green background. Its main purpose was to disrupt early generations of enemy night vision devices. While it proved moderately effective in practice at suppressing images in night vision devices, it was an innovative approach to night camouflage.

US Desert, also known as 3 Color Desert, is a desert camouflage pattern developed as a successor to 6 Color Desert Pattern. It was created in 1990 and officially introduced in 1992 for operations in the Middle East. The pattern is based on three colors: beige, pale green, and brown, which allowed for a simplification of the micro-pattern and a reduction in contrast compared to its predecessor. This color scheme proved to be more effective in arid, sandy environments, while also better at dealing with the problem of fabric overheating. This camouflage was widely used by the US armed forces, including during the Desert Storm operation, as well as in Iraq and Afghanistan.
