I really like the jacket, it looks great and is practical – it's perfect for cycling, especially in autumn. If I put something warmer underneath, I can easily use it throughout the whole winter. The shop, as always, is highly recommendable, full professionalism.
Helikon Squall Hardshell Jacket - Coyote
Coyote hardshell rain jacket made of nylon with a three-layer TorrentStretch membrane. The waterproof rating of 30,000 mm and breathability of 30,000 g/m² guarantee effective protection against the rain and comfort of use. The evaporation resistance factor is RET <5. The model has been awarded the BlueSign and Oeko-Tex Standard 100 quality certificates.
TorrentStretch MEMBRANE, DWR coating, YKK zips and VENTS
The TorrentStretch membrane consists of three laminated layers that effectively protect against water while allowing air to circulate. Underarm vents allow you to regulate your body temperature. The DWR (Durable Water Repellent) hydrophobic coating, which is free from harmful PFC, further increases moisture resistance. Taped seams and waterproof YKK AquaGuard zips ensure that the jacket remains waterproof even in difficult weather conditions.
hood, hook-and-loop cuffs, two-way zip
The adjustable hood with high collar protects against wind and rain. Cuffs with hook and loop fastener and waistband allow you to adjust the jacket to your body. The two-way main zip is secured with a Prym snap fastener. When folded, the jacket takes up little space and fits into the hood.
3 practical pockets, headphone cable opening, Velcro panel
The hardshell has 3 pockets with zip fasteners: 2 outer and 1 inner, ideal for documents or a mobile phone. There is also a grommet for the headphone cable on the inside. The Velcro panel on the shoulder allows you to attach patches, emblems or morale patches.

A very light jacket with decent waterproof parameters. It's quite stiff. Practical, long zips under the arms. The pockets are positioned high. High collar and roomy hood. The nicest thing is, of course, the coyote colour! :-)))))))
-
My first impression was very positive. The jacket is precisely made and looks solid in terms of finish. The cut is comfortable and fits well. The hood also fits great. I spent two hours in it during a downpour and the wallet in my pocket stayed completely dry.
-
The quality of this waterproof jacket is really high and the breathability is excellent. It features waterproof YKK zips and a large hood with a visor, which makes it essential for hikes, particularly in unpredictable weather.
-
Advantages are lightness and excellent fit with the Patriot 2 fleece. Disadvantages: no hand pockets, it could be warmer, and mesh would be useful in the underarm vents so the material doesn't stretch. The material pills a lot and after a year of use I don't recommend it.

The jacket performs very well. I walked at a brisk pace for 2 hours, wearing a fleece underneath, with a temperature of about +4 degrees, and I felt very comfortable. Strong wind was not a problem. I wasn't carrying a backpack, I didn't get cold, and most importantly – the jacket really breathes well, which is a big advantage.
-
Great jacket, I highly recommend it. The only downside is that it doesn't have hand pockets – they would be very useful. One tip – avoid campfires, as the smell stays in it for a very long time.

I am pleasantly surprised at how little this jacket weighs; it is as light as a softshell. It fits great and is comfortable. I am 186 cm tall and weigh 90 kg; I chose size M, but for people with similar measurements I suggest size L in order to fit a thicker fleece underneath. Now I am waiting for rain to see how the jacket performs in wet conditions.

The jacket is called 'Hard', but that's a bit of an overstatement. After two months of use, it started to pill and lost its properties, especially where I carried a shoulder bag (also from Helikon-tex, which I actually recommend as it works well). I expected better durability for this brand and this price. I suppose that if I wore a backpack, my whole back would be pilled, not just one side. It's fine for occasional use – it protects well against rain, has a deep hood and pockets arranged in a practical way. It's very well sewn, but unfortunately it doesn't cope well with abrasion.
-
Great jacket! The positives are solid construction, low weight, and good compatibility with the Patriot 2 fleece. Negatives: no hand pockets, it could be warmer, and it would be useful to have mesh in the underarm vents so they don't gape open.
-
Once again, Helikon has positively surprised me – the jacket is fantastic. It's very thin, so it takes up little space and is lightweight. In my opinion, it's ideal for mountain trips. The price may not be the lowest, but considering the quality and features, it compares favourably with the competition. I recommend it!

A very thin, lightweight hardshell. Well fitted (although that's an individual matter). Tested in light rain – the DWR coating worked great. The only downside is the underarm vents – when opened and the material is positioned in a certain way, a 'hole' is created, which does improve ventilation, but it would be useful to have an uncoated mesh to hold the edges together.

This is another purchase by my husband from Helikon. The advantages of this jacket are its very good cut, large underarm ventilation openings, well-fitted hood, high-quality zippers, and interesting colour scheme. The disadvantages are the fairly high price and the lack of a stopper in the hood drawstring, so after tightening it returns to its original position. As for the 30,000mm water column membrane, I think this value is exaggerated – after a night-time trip in the rain, the jacket started to soak through after about 3 hours.
-
It protects well against the wind. Light rain or drizzle is not a problem, but in heavier downpours it starts to soak through. It's nice that there are zips under the armpits. However, even a small amount of sunshine can make you sweat easily in it.
-
The jacket is light and comfortable, despite the fitted cut (at my height of 186 cm and 78 kg I chose size M). When folded, it takes up little space. It seems well designed, I hope the material will turn out to be breathable. I'm waiting for rain to test it and then I'll update my opinion.
