I never thought I would have to leave a negative review about this series... The new SFU Next Mk2 line - the sizes have been significantly reduced, I deliberately bought a larger size to match the old sizing. Now, what used to be an XL is somewhere between 2XL and 3XL... It looks like Chinese sizes have beaten the classic European ones. That's only half the problem, but what Helikon has done with the trousers in general is a disaster. The legs are narrower than ever – these trousers are only suitable for very slim people who pay attention to every detail of their figure. If you're 175 cm tall and weigh over 75 kg, and you go to the gym, forget about getting your calf through the leg, not to mention your thighs... The upper part of the trousers – crotch, waistband – everything is uncomfortable, too short, too shallow, just weird. I've been wearing these trousers since they came out 15-20 years ago. Now I see that it's over. Time to go back to American products, which stick to one size chart and don't have such quirks. I’d like to add that I've had the same weight and measurements for 10 years, and even so, the SFU Next Mk2 doesn't work at all.
Helikon SFU Next Mk2 Trousers PolyCotton Rip-Stop Military Trousers - US Woodland
Modern version of the classic SFU Next military trousers. While the design refers to the previous version, it has been comprehensively redesigned in terms of cut and ergonomics. The addition of elastane in the fabric ensures greater flexibility and freedom of movement. They effectively protect against cold, heat, and mechanical injuries while also assisting in silhouette camouflage.
Reinforcements on the knees and buttocks, easy adjustment of the trousers to the figure
SFU, often referred to as combat trousers, provide high comfort and complete freedom of movement. Key areas prone to abrasion, such as the knees and seat, are reinforced with additional layers of fabric.
The design of the trousers has no metal elements, except for the waist drawstring adjusters. The button closure, which also covers the fly, ensures reliability. Adjustable drawstrings allow you to adjust the waist circumference without the need for a belt. Additional loops with loops on the front allow you to attach equipment such as a tactical lanyard.
8 spacious pockets
The practical arrangement of eight pockets allows for convenient carrying of essential items:
- two spacious cargo pockets with Velcro closures,
- two smaller pockets for additional equipment, e.g., a spare magazine,
- two classic hip pockets,
- two back pockets secured with flaps.
The contoured reinforcements on the knees can also be used to insert internal protective pads, increasing the comfort and safety of the user.

Woodland Camouflage
Woodland, also known as U.S. Woodland or M81, is a classic camouflage pattern introduced to the US Armed Forces in the early 1980s, based on the earlier ERDL camouflage. For over two decades, it remained the standard pattern used by the US military until the end of the first decade of the 21st century. It is characterized by large, irregular patches in shades of green, brown, beige, and black, which provide good camouflage and deformation properties, especially in wooded areas. Thanks to its effectiveness and global recognition, it has spawned numerous variations that have found their way into over 60 uniform formations around the world. The pattern has also had a huge impact on popular culture, shifting from military applications to everyday fashion.

The trousers fit perfectly, are comfortable and durable. The Rip-Stop fabric is resistant to heavy loads, and the many pockets turn out to be exceptionally functional. The camouflage looks great outdoors. Definitely worth the price – I recommend them!
-
The trousers are very comfortable and look good. The size matches the one on the chart. They are perfect both for outdoor activities and everyday wear. What I appreciate most is their durability and high quality of workmanship.

I chose size XL, as I always do when buying SFU Next, but these turned out to be much too small – at least two sizes too small. It's not just a matter of struggling to fasten them; it's simply impossible to button them up. I am very disappointed. The quality seems similar to SFU Next, but I can't wear them. I'll be returning them after the weekend.

Very good quality for this price. Sufficient number of pockets. Lightweight material, elasticated at the waist and cuffs. The thigh pockets secure the contents from falling out. The sizing is spot on.
-
Great quality in terms of looks, ergonomics and price. Very well designed cut. I have identical trousers, have been using them for years and they are still in good condition – they wear out much slower than competing products.

This is another pair of these trousers that I have bought. They are reliable both when out in the field and for everyday wear. Their biggest advantage is durability and high-quality workmanship. They fit the body very well, with excellently placed pockets. For me, these trousers are practically indestructible.

This is another pair of these trousers for me. They are perfect both for outdoor trips and everyday use. Their main advantage is durability and solid workmanship. They fit the silhouette very well, and the pocket placement is well thought out. In my opinion, they are practically indestructible.

Good quality, light and durable material. Comfortable and well thought out, although the pockets could be placed a bit better. It's a cheaper model, which you can see in the details (e.g. buttons instead of a zip), but for this price they look very good. Unfortunately, Helikon sizing takes some trial and error to find the right fit.

Classic style cargo trousers that perform superbly even under intensive use. The fabric is breathable, so they’re good for summer, but with an additional thermal layer they’ll also keep you comfortable in winter. Sturdy workmanship.

Another very good pair of trousers, unfortunately the sizing differs from other Helikon models. The XL I bought recently was too big, but now the L is definitely too tight (185 cm, 98 kg). The quality of the products is excellent, but maybe next time I have to order several sizes to try on. Fortunately, Militaria.pl works great when it comes to returns :)

The store's service is of the highest standard. The size chart is accurate (I am 184 cm tall and have an 87 cm waist, the L-L I ordered fits). The camouflage looks even better than in the photos.
-
The trousers are light, comfortable, well made, do not rip, the stitches are precise, very comfortable. The price is adequate for the quality, so I can recommend them with confidence.
-
The trousers are light, comfortable, solidly made, they don’t unravel, and the seams are precise – very comfortable. The price is appropriate for the quality, so I can sincerely recommend them.

Very good trousers, I’ll definitely go for another pair. Numerous, well-planned pockets are a big advantage, and the waistband drawstring adds to their comfort. I recommend them!
