Stormfleece combines the functions of two types of clothing in a single layer. As a result, the hoodie effectively protects against cold while offering high comfort in various conditions.
The outer part is made of a softshell-like fabric with a Grid Fleece structure. This material is known for its elasticity, which supports full mobility during physical activity. It also ensures air circulation, effective moisture wicking, and improved wind resistance.
The inner side is lined with soft fleece with extended fibers that retain heat very well. The quick-drying fabric with a grammage of 256 g/m2 provides adequate thermal insulation without adding unnecessary bulk.

I have long appreciated Helikon brand clothing, although their fleeces have usually disappointed me. This model is the first not only to meet my expectations, but even pleasantly surprised me. The hood combined with the stand-up collar and the lack of extended sleeves with thumb holes I consider to be appropriate solutions for clothing that is not strictly military. The fleece is very comfortable and provides a lot of warmth, and the additional windproof layer works perfectly. In winds of about 17 km/h and a temperature of 5°C, you can walk comfortably and even stand outside for a short time without feeling cold. I had to exchange my fleece for a smaller size, because at a height of 183 cm and a chest circumference of 116 cm, size L turned out to be perfect.

The Polar is really well designed and very comfortable. The material it is made from stands out for its lightness and softness, especially on the inside. It's just a pity that there's no version without a hood. Maybe Helikon will add such an option in the Liberty series.

The fleece is very pleasant, it has a completely different texture compared to previous models. It's a pity it doesn't have two chest pockets. It gives the impression of being very warm. The colour is nice and well chosen. The zips work perfectly.

This is one of the best fleeces I have ever had the chance to wear. It is lightweight, exceptionally warm, well tailored and very comfortable to use. It works great for autumn days. I definitely recommend giving it a try.
