Helikon Liberty fleece - Jungle Green

It's something between a sweatshirt and a jacket. Overall, it performs well, but it's not perfect. I'll start with the advantages: the cut is ideal for me – the front is shorter (which makes it easier to access trouser or waist bag pockets), and the back is extended, so it protects the kidneys from the wind better. The collar wraps around the neck well and provides pleasant warmth in that area. The adjustability is also a plus – of the collar, bottom, and cuffs. However, the Velcro on the cuffs seems not very durable; maybe it would be better to consider elastic or press studs? I also like the reinforcement on the shoulders and elbows, especially if you often wear a backpack. There are just enough pockets, but their functionality leaves a bit to be desired. You can't fit a phone in the sleeve pockets, which is a big minus, as almost everyone needs one. Even the dedicated compartments in the chest pockets are too small for larger smartphones; perhaps it would be worth sewing in some material inside for an extra pocket. Currently, the phone moves freely in the breast pocket and I'm afraid it might fall out when putting in my hands. Plus for the presence of D-rings. A minus is that only the main zip is from YKK, the rest are probably no-names. As for thermal comfort, that's an individual matter – for me it's warm enough down to about -2°C (for everyday use in the city), but that's with an extra sweatshirt and T-shirt. Below that temperature, it starts to get chilly.

The Polar Helikon Liberty in wz.93 Pantera PL Woodland camouflage is an excellent option for colder days. The material is sturdy, provides plenty of warmth, feels pleasant to the touch, and also wicks moisture well during intense activity. The sweatshirt's fit is well-tailored and doesn't restrict movement, making it suitable for both outdoor and everyday use. The large number of practical pockets and durable zips are a big advantage, especially for those heading to the mountains or the shooting range. Overall, it looks very professional and deserves the highest ratings.

I chose the Helikon Liberty fleece in Jungle Green and I am very satisfied with it. The material is fleece with a weight of 390 g/m², which excellently retains heat and at the same time provides good ventilation during movement. The cut is well thought-out: the high collar, adjustable sleeves, and drawstring at the waist perform their functions perfectly. The Jungle Green colour looks good both in the field and in the city. I recommend this fleece as a versatile option for cooler days.

The fleece is pleasant to wear and warm, although the weight could be higher. Very well and solidly made, durable – although the Velcro on the cuffs wears out quite quickly due to the stiff rubber Velcro. The pockets are very spacious – you can even fit a half-litre bottle or a book. I have used it on various occasions and it has performed excellently. It looks universal, does not stand out as military, but also does not look like typical civilian clothing.

The jacket is brilliantly made and fits perfectly. Zippers work flawlessly. The pockets are placed very conveniently, and additionally the chest pockets have pass-throughs for a power bank or headphones cable as well as a D-ring for keys, so you don't lose them. It's truly an ideal product.

For cold days you won’t find anything better! Warm, well stitched, and the pockets are brilliant. Be careful with the sizes – I usually buy M or L, here S fits me. A great buy.

The sweatshirt itself is very good – both the Liberty and Patriot models (the only difference is the hood). The material used is pleasant to the touch, thick and substantial. I have no major complaints until I use it every day instead of a jacket (autumn, winter, spring). After about a year, the Velcro on the sleeves stops holding well (the only option is to remove it so it doesn’t dangle). The zip seems solid, but right after the Velcro issues there are problems with doing up the zip from the bottom (the plastic wears out and gets stuck too deeply in the mechanism). This isn't a single unit’s problem – I had it in three sweatshirts, and friends confirm this in dozens of pieces (the Velcro always wears out, the zip in half the cases, depending on usage).

The fleece is very warm and quite thick. The materials are of great quality, and size M fits perfectly (I am 175 cm and 78 kg). I think it will work great even in low temperatures. I recommend it, well worth the price.

The Helikon Liberty fleece is already a classic among fleeces. Proven in terms of material, fit, and functionality, as confirmed by positive reviews. The sizing is a bit on the larger side, so I choose one size smaller (for my next purchase of a different colour). Very good value for money and workmanship. I hope it remains in production without changes to the parameters and type of material.
