The trousers are quite decent, but they make a noticeable rustling sound when walking. I know it’s due to the material used, but personally, it bothered me. After all, when walking alone in nature, it’s not about the sound of clothes. Another downside is the size, which didn’t match the declared measurements – this is the first time it has happened to me with Helikon, even though I already own several of their garments. The overall length of the trousers was 2 cm shorter than stated.
Helikon Hybrid Outback DuraCanvas trousers - Taiga Green
Comfortable outdoor trousers in Taiga Green color that combine civilian design with military functionality. Made from two types of fabrics – flexible VersaStretch and abrasion- and tear-resistant DuraCanvas material. Suitable for hiking and trekking, ensuring full freedom of movement.
Stretchy and waterproofed material
Thanks to the hybrid construction, the trousers provide full freedom of movement and adapt to the body shape. The fabric is coated with a Teflon-based impregnation, which increases its resistance to adverse weather conditions and dirt. DuraCanvas fabric can be additionally waxed to improve water resistance.
Practical pockets
The trousers are equipped with six different pockets:
- two at the front on the hips with reinforced edges
- two spacious cargo pockets with zips
- two narrow ones with Velcro closures
Velcro waistband, adjustable legs
Instead of a standard button, the waistband features a Velcro panel, allowing for waist adjustment. The legs are also adjustable with Velcro. The knees are reinforced, allowing for internal pads.

Great trousers for mountain hikes – sturdy and flexible where needed. The pockets are positioned so they don't get in the way. They offer good protection in light drizzle, wind, and muddy conditions. At -3 degrees with thermal underwear, they were comfortable. Instead of following the size chart, it's better to measure – at 196 cm height and 95 cm waist, I chose L XLong and they fit perfectly.

Great trousers. I am 184 cm tall, weigh 88 kg, and size L fits perfectly. There are interesting cuffs at the bottom, which I haven't had in my previous trousers. Now I see that next time I'll also look for this solution. I recommend them.
-
The trousers are extremely comfortable and do not restrict freedom of movement during various outdoor activities. The elastic components have been very well designed. Unfortunately, a larger smartphone won’t fit in the narrow pockets – that's the only downside I've noticed after a month of use.
-
These trousers stand out for their exceptional functionality, performing well both for everyday use and outdoor trips, especially in the mountains. They don’t have back pockets, which is often a drawback in other models, but here it is actually an advantage.
-
The trousers are incredibly comfortable and very lightweight. No movement is restricted, whether during trekking, hiking, or light workouts at an outdoor gym. The only downside is the rather small pockets; a larger smartphone doesn’t fit into the long pocket and a 0.5l bottle can be put in a zipped pocket, but it can’t be closed. Comfort 10/10, pockets 8/10.

This is my favourite Helikon trouser model. The material is comfortable, nothing digs in, the elastic inserts and overall comfort are superb. What makes this model stand out is the very ergonomic pocket arrangement—the zippered side pockets and additional ones with Velcro flaps are a real hit. Everything has its place: phone, wallet, house and car keys. I don’t need any other bags or bum bags, I won’t lose anything and it’s hard to rob me. A great purchase! The only downside is they rustle—a bit tricky to go unnoticed in the forest. It's also a shame there isn’t a wider choice of camouflage patterns. Apart from that—superb. Well worth buying!

Helikon Hybrid Outback DuraCanvas trousers in Ash Grey are made from durable material and feature six practically placed pockets.
-
Very good trousers made from stretch material – they are suitable both for mountain hiking and for expeditions through bushes. Water runs off the material well, and there are enough pockets.

I searched for a long time for trousers that wouldn't look like cargo trousers, but would have their functionality for everyday use. They are discreet, extremely comfortable, have practical pockets, are well made and flawless – perfect for everyday wear, cycling or mountains; super versatile.

This is already my third pair of these trousers, they've become my favourite – not only are they practical, but they also look elegant. Even after intensive use, the fabric shows no signs of wear, and thanks to the lightweight material, they're comfortable in summer. The cut and pocket layout are great. For everyday wear, they could be a bit shorter – the legs are longer than standard, but thanks to this they fit well over boots.
-
It's hard to find comfortable trousers for someone slightly overweight, but these are perfect for me. The Velcro waist adjustment means they don’t pinch at the hips. They are airy and flexible, a bit rustling, but size XXL fitted first time (182 cm, 108 kg). I'm very happy with my purchase.

These are another interesting pair of trousers from Helikon, although I'm not quite sure what their purpose is compared to other models from this brand. I haven't noticed any feature that makes them stand out from other Helikon trousers. They look good and have a nice cut. A downside is the lack of a back pocket.
-
Very nice trousers, legs fasten with Velcro, lots of practical pockets, and the elastic panels make movement easier. I recommend them for the shooting range and for hiking.

Great trousers! The colour is darker than in the photo, but the quality is excellent. I am very happy with the purchase. The cut is the same as in other models of this brand. I would probably buy again, but I am convinced these will last me a long time.
