A warm, soft, zip-up fleece sweatshirt that provides thermal insulation for even the coldest of frosts while allowing excess heat and moisture (sweat) released during exercise to escape.
Thanks to the generous cut, a thinner sweatshirt can be worn under the fleece, but even a bulletproof vest will fit. The back section is slightly elongated to protect the kidneys from being blown up, but the whole jacket is quite short - mainly to provide easy access to pockets and equipment carried on the trouser belt.
The fleece has 4 zipped pockets:
- two classic hip pockets,
- one breast pocket,
- one on the forearm.
The fleece is additionally lined in the elbow and shoulder areas with abrasion-resistant material, while the elasticated cuffs have been replaced by a velcro-fastened patch, allowing the size to be adjusted depending on the thickness of the wrist and whether the wearer is also wearing gloves or a watch, for example. At the top, the fleece has a 9 cm collar to protect the neck from unfriendly weather conditions. The main zip is two-way.
ECWCS garments should be used to protect the body from chilling due to airing or getting wet.
