UCP Camouflage
UCP (Universal Camouflage Pattern) is a digital camouflage pattern introduced at the beginning of the 21st century as a successor to US Woodland and Desert. It combines camouflage functions in various environments - forest, desert and urban - which is why shades of green and beige are combined with gray. The spot arrangement is based on the MARPAT pattern, and the pastel, low-contrast colors create a pixelated micro-pattern that blends well into the environment at short distances but merges into a uniform silhouette at greater distances. UCP showed high effectiveness in infrared, which contributed to its introduction, but it was eventually replaced by OCP camouflage based on the MultiCam pattern.

Rip-Stop weave protects the fabric from abrasions and tears. It is characterized by additional threads woven in at regular intervals, forming a mesh-like pattern. It provides high strength to the fabric, increases resistance to mechanical damage, especially tears.

The trousers are really high quality, like all Helikon products. Despite the high prices, it's my favourite brand. Another advantage is supporting the Polish economy. It's worth checking sizes directly on the manufacturer’s website, because here the sizing chart was wrong (which is why I deducted a star).

The trousers have a loose fit, which increases wearing comfort. The material is durable and doesn't snag when walking through sharp bushes. The pockets are very roomy, and you can also use knee pads. Very good trousers at an attractive price.

I bought these trousers for my son, who values comfort and functionality above all else. He uses them intensively, washes them often and doesn't spare them, yet the wear on the material is surprisingly low compared to the usage. Three months have passed, we'll see how much longer they'll last. The biggest challenge is convincing him to wear something else for different occasions.

The size chart is unusual, but that's probably because the original surplus trousers are also 'oversize'. The workmanship is impeccable. The camouflage has its charm, although it wasn't the most effective, which is why the Americans abandoned it quickly.

Great product! This is already my second pair of these trousers. They are very durable and comfortable, perfect for field trips as well as for working in the garden or around the house. They have six pockets, including four with velcro and button closures, and an extra small pocket, e.g. for a penknife.
