The product stands out for its very good quality, although it is a bit heavier than offerings from other companies. I use it for various purposes—for EDC, as a carry-on bag on planes, for day trips to the mountains, and for the forest. It is spacious, solid, and durable, but you can feel its weight. It's hard to get it soaked even during heavy rain. I appreciate the rubber bands on the straps, which improve its appearance and allow you to roll up the straps so they don't tangle. Additional gear can easily be attached to the outside.
Wisport Sparrow II Backpack 30 l - MAPA
Introducing the new version of Sparrow model! This compact military and survival backpack offers a capacity of 30 liters and is crafted from 500D Cordura in MAPA camouflage. Its design is inspired by the urban Raven model and tailored for rigorous field use.
durable Cordura construction
The backpack is constructed from robust 500D Cordura, a material that is exceptionally resistant to abrasions and mechanical damage, ensuring long-term durability in tough conditions.
2 compartments, 5 pockets, hydration system
The Sparrow II model is designed with two roomy compartments. The primary compartment, with a capacity of 27 liters, features four D-rings on the back wall for accessory attachment. The secondary compartment is equipped with an extended organizer for organizing smaller items. Within the main compartment are mesh pockets complete with zippers. The flap houses a flat pocket that matches the main compartment's size and is approximately 5 cm deep, making it suitable for documents, maps, or a small laptop. Additionally, there is a small outer pocket on the flap for quick access.
The interior of the backpack includes a hydration bladder hook, a tube exit hole, and two loops on each shoulder strap for secure mounting.
main zipper, protective flaps
The main and auxiliary compartments are opened with a two-way zipper running along three edges of the flap, providing wide access to the interior. All zippers used are durable and abrasion-resistant, and textile handles allow for comfortable operation even when wearing gloves. The zippers of the compartments and front pocket are covered with strips that protect the interior from moisture and dirt.
carrying system, compression straps, transport handle
The SAS - Semi Adjustable System Ergonomic Military provides durability, comfortable wear, and efficient back airflow. This system includes long, quick-release shoulder straps adjustable in length, along with chest and waist straps. The inner side of the straps is crafted from dense, snag-resistant fabric. A tunnel on the back is compatible with a fiberglass frame (frame not included).
Both sides are equipped with two compression straps featuring 30 mm fastex buckles, which facilitate volume reduction and secure attachment of items like clothing, tarp, sleeping pads, or camouflage nets. On the top, a large and wide transport handle ensures easier carrying.
MOLLE / PALS
MOLLE/PALS webbing is stitched onto the front, bottom, and sides, enabling the attachment of extra gear or items for urgent need.
velcro panel
On the front of the backpack, there is a velcro panel designed for attaching patches, unit insignias, national flags, or morale patches.
MAPA camouflage
The MAPA camouflage pattern was created by Maciej Dojlitko, an alumnus and researcher at the Faculty of Architecture and Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. He is also the author of the publication The Theory of Deconstruction of Visual Communication: Tools for Designing Military Camouflage (Gdańsk 2015). This pioneering design, backed by strong theoretical and experimental foundations, including computer analysis of thousands of terrain photos, caught the eye of experts and military apparel manufacturers. Debuting in 2017 at the International Defence Industry Exhibition in Kielce, the MAPA camouflage featured as the pattern for the Dromader gear and uniform system by Maskpol, a member of the Polish Armaments Group. The system was developed with the Territorial Defence Forces in mind; however, the MAPA camouflage was also evaluated as a potential successor to the wz.93 pattern for the entire Polish Armed Forces. Unfortunately, MAPA has yet to be officially adopted by the Polish Army.
Main features of the MAPA camouflage in its basic forest variant:
- 6 colors forming layers that resemble contour lines on a map,
- colors optimized for operations in Central European forests,
- use of three-dimensional illusion and anamorphic effects,
- biomorphic shapes mimicking vegetation,
- high-contrast elements imitating light glares and shadows,
- deformation of the camouflaged silhouette using macro patterns,
- color noise recreated through micro patterns.
The MAPA pattern presents an intriguing alternative to top modern camouflage designs such as PenCott, MultiCam, Kryptek, Flecktarn, or the Finnish M/05. In certain aspects, it is more advanced and better replicates the colors prevalent in Central European forests from late spring to early autumn.

Cordura is a material woven from durable nylon fibers, developed by DuPont. The structure of the material provides lightness and abrasion resistance, as well as weather resistance. Due to its properties, Cordura is widely used in tactical equipment.
Fastex buckles are a popular type of fastener consisting of two parts that snap together, and pressing both sides of the buckle on the sides causes it to come undone. They are often used to fasten belts, backpack pockets and other items where fast and secure fastening and unfastening are crucial.
SAS Ergonomic Military (Semi Adjustable System) is a semi-adjustable carrying system that provides a proper fit for the user and increases the comfort of the backpack by relieving pressure on the spine and shoulders. The system consists of, among other things, profiled adjustable shoulder straps with a quick-release system, an adjustable chest strap, a partially adjustable waist belt and an ergonomic frame design. All the components are made of materials with high durability and resistance to harsh use.
MOLLE (Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment) is a system for attachment of tactical equipment, used for example in backpacks or tactical vests. It provides the possibility of flexible and modular placement of various accessories and pockets, which allows personalization and optimal adjustment of the item to the specific needs of the user. It is widely used by the military, special services and survival and outdoor enthusiasts.
High-quality buckles and fasteners distinguished by their durability and reliability. Made of durable materials such as nylon or polyamide, used in products that require a solid and secure fastener, providing security and comfort.
Duraflex is a type of high-quality buckles, fasteners, snaps and accessories made from durable materials such as polyamide, acetal, as well as metals and metal alloys. They are resistant to weather conditions, UV radiation and mechanical damage. Duraflex products are used for fastening, connecting and adjustment in backpacks, bags, clothing and military equipment.
PALS (Pouch Attachment Ladder System) is a modular mounting system for pockets and pouches, used in the MOLLE system. It consists of horizontally sewn rows of 1 inch (25.4 mm) wide, fixed spacing webbing (such as on a backpack) and vertical webbing for attachment and threading (on a pocket). This system is usually equipped with snaps, which further secures the pinned items.

I am the owner of the Reider 75l model, so my next backpack could only be Wisport. The Sparrow II 30l works great for everyday use and for short, two-day trips. It has a large capacity, and thanks to its thoughtful design, it's easy to keep things organized inside. As always with Wisport, the build quality is top-notch – both in terms of the material and the zippers and buckles. It's a backpack that will last for many years – I highly recommend it.
-
I can confidently say that this is probably my favorite Wisport backpack for everyday use. It works well both for daily life and for trips to the mountains.
-
The backpack lasted with me through 18 hours of tactical competition in tough conditions, and there are no signs of wear on it. It stands out with solid workmanship and thoughtful design. Accessories can be easily attached to it, and the straps are very comfortable.
-
I believe this is one of the best and most versatile backpacks. It is very well made and fits a lot of things, plus you can easily attach additional accessories to it, so it works well both for everyday use in the city and for longer trips.
-
It's hard not to recommend this backpack! The craftsmanship is of a very high standard. The design and functionality also make a great impression. The backpack is perfect for a short trip to the mountains or forest, but for everyday use in the city, it might be a bit too spacious.
-
I love backpacks from this brand. They are not only well-made but also produced in Poland. The backpack works perfectly for everyday use and you can easily pack it for a weekend trip as well.
-
The backpack is definitely worth recommending – it looks great and is very functional thanks to the MOLLE/PALS strap system, which allows you to attach pouches from various manufacturers. Made from indestructible Cordura, it is very solid and durable.
-
This backpack probably already has all its advantages described – it is solid, features practical solutions related to strapping, and has easy access to the internal organizer. The price is adequate for the quality.
-
The backpack is made of high-quality materials. It has many pockets and straps on the outside, and the fabric is very durable for everyday use. It's a Polish brand worth supporting!
-
Does its job, and no apparent lack of sturdiness, used 2 to 3 times a week, good product, sufficient capacity, RAL 7013 is slightly darker than the sales photo but acceptable.
-
I had to return one of the backpacks due to a manufacturing defect – the money was refunded quickly and without any issues. I purchased another one and everything is fine. I really like this model of backpack, it's comfortable to carry, and the frame is a must-have.
-
The backpack turned out to be not durable – after three months of regular use (mainly carrying gym clothes and a water bottle), the buckle broke, although it was replaced under warranty. Then the seam on the strap also gave out, but the warranty was denied because it was believed to be my fault since a hole appeared. Overall, I do not recommend it.

This is already my second Wisport Sparrow 30 backpack. I bought it mainly to check out a certain thing. In the first one, I noticed that the zipper in the main compartment near the back is sewn with just a single stitch. I wondered if this was a manufacturing error. Honestly, I didn’t use the first backpack very intensively, so the seam hasn’t come loose, but I did have some doubts. So I decided to buy a second backpack—and in this one, the seam is also single. In my opinion, it could be reinforced with a double stitch. The backpacks themselves are fine; I got them on sale, which is why I bought them. I hope the zippers don’t turn out to be a weak point. I highly recommend the graphite color, it looks great.

I have been using this backpack for ten years now – as long as my youngest son has been alive – and it still looks and works like new. It’s very spacious and the zippers are exceptionally sturdy – I have often thought they would break when overloaded, but they have never let me down. Despite its 30-liter capacity, the interior is very well organized and allows for many uses. The strap system is really brilliant – you can easily attach extra items to the buckles. With a clear conscience, I bought the same backpack for my oldest son and I am sure he will be just as satisfied.
