The goggles are of very good quality and well made. They fit perfectly to the face and do not restrict the field of vision. The set includes three interchangeable lenses. They do not fog up, although it's still good to have a cloth on hand for wiping.
Wiley X SPEAR Set 3in1 Goggles - Matte Tan
Tactical protective goggles in Matte Tan provide mechanical resistance to shield eyes from shrapnel, ricochets, and other projectiles as per Class B standards (objects weighing 0.86 g at a velocity of 120 m/s).
The company Wiley X ranks among the top suppliers of eye protection for the U.S. military, athletes, and outdoor enthusiasts.
frames made of triloid, hvp technology
Frames crafted with an anatomical design from robust triloid nylon. Their contour ensures a snug fit without compromising on comfort when wearing headphones or ear protectors. Both frames and lenses are manufactured using HVP technology (High Velocity Protection) to safeguard eyes against injuries from high-speed particles. Featuring symmetric grooves, the frames help prevent fogging. Equipped with a detachable Facial Cavity seal, these goggles block dirt, dust, or irritants from entering. They are fully compatible with NVG goggles. The goggles can adjust to the RAS system for attachment to a tactical helmet and are also compatible with RX inserts for corrective lenses.
polycarbonate lenses with t-shell and Anti-fog coating
Three interchangeable lenses (Clear, Light Rust, Smoke Grey) provide the ability to tailor the goggles to different lighting conditions and enhance comfort in visibility. Constructed from impact-resistant Selenite polycarbonate, the lenses allow visible light transmission at rates of 15/89/52%. Additionally, they are equipped with a scratch-resistant T-Shell coating to protect against damage and prolong their lifespan, along with an Anti-Fog coating to reduce lens fogging. These lenses ensure protection for the eyes from harmful ultraviolet radiation, including UVA and UVB.
Standards and certifications
The SPEAR model adheres to the following standards:
- EN.166B - complies with the European standard for protection against impacts from fast-moving particles (Medium Energy Impact). As per this category's requirements, both the frame and visors endure the impact of a steel ball with a 6 mm diameter and weighing 0.86 g, traveling at velocities of up to 120 m/s.
- ANSI Z87.1 - specifies the impact resistance of the visor and frame. Testing ensures they can withstand impacts from a heavy steel object (High Mass) and a fast-moving steel ball (High Velocity), confirming their resistance to common mechanical hazards.
- MIL-PRF-32432A - represents a United States military standard outlining the specifications for eyewear used by military personnel, such as ballistic resistance, side impact and splinter protection, and mechanical durability. It also covers optical and usability criteria like excellent lens clarity, absence of optical distortion, UV protection, helmet and mask compatibility, night vision, and the ability to swap visors.
- UV Protection - the visor offers comprehensive protection against UVA/UVB radiation, blocking at least 99.9%.

For this price, the glasses look really good – visibility, even with tinted lenses in dark rooms, is excellent. The build quality is also at a high level, which I expected in this price range. The only downside is the tendency to fog up, which is a bit disappointing for this class of product. Overall, however, the quality and comfort of use are very satisfying to me.
