The goggles are of very good quality and well made. They fit perfectly to the face and do not restrict the field of vision. The set includes three interchangeable lenses. They do not fog up, although it's still good to have a cloth on hand for wiping.
Wiley X SPEAR Set 3in1 Goggles - Matte Black
Tactical protective goggles in Matte Black offer mechanical resistance designed to shield the eyes from shrapnel, ricochets, and various approaching objects according to class B standards (an object weighing 0.86 g traveling at 120 m/s).
Wiley X is a leading provider of eye protection for the United States military, athletes, and outdoor enthusiasts who actively engage in various activities.
frames made of triloid, hvp technology
Ergonomically designed frames crafted from robust triloid nylon. The design ensures an excellent fit and maintains comfort while using headphones or ear protectors. Both the frames and lenses are constructed with HVP technology (High Velocity Protection), safeguarding eyes against injuries from fast-moving objects. Frames are equipped with symmetric grooves to minimize fogging. The goggles include a detachable Facial Cavity seal that blocks dirt, dust, and other irritants. Compatible with NVG goggles, the frames can integrate with the RAS system for attachment to tactical helmets and are also compatible with RX inserts for corrective lenses.
polycarbonate lenses with t-shell and Anti-fog coating
Three interchangeable lenses (Clear, Light Rust, Smoke Grey) enable you to adapt the goggles to current light conditions for optimal visibility and comfort. Constructed from impact-resistant Selenite polycarbonate, these lenses allow visible light transmission at 15/89/52%. Enhanced with a scratch-resistant T-Shell coating, they are safeguarded against wear and tear, extending their longevity. An Anti-Fog coating is included to reduce lens fogging. The lenses also provide protection against harmful ultraviolet rays, UVA and UVB.
Standards and certifications
The SPEAR model adheres to these standards:
- EN.166B - aligns with the European standard for protection against fast-moving particle impacts (Medium Energy Impact). In compliance with this class, both the frame and visors can endure the impact of a 6 mm diameter, 0.86 g steel ball traveling at speeds up to 120 m/s.
- ANSI Z87.1 - outlines the visor's and frame's impact resistance. Testing assesses resilience against the collision of a heavy steel object (High Mass) and a high-speed steel ball (High Velocity), demonstrating resistance to common mechanical hazards.
- MIL-PRF-32432A - a standard from the United States military specifying requirements for eyewear and goggles used by military personnel. It encompasses protective criteria such as ballistic resistance, side impact protection, splinter resistance, and mechanical durability. It also includes optical and usability standards like clear lens quality, absence of optical distortions, UV protection, compatibility with helmets, masks, night vision, and the ability to exchange the visor.
- UV Protection - the visor offers comprehensive protection against UVA/UVB radiation, blocking at least 99.9%.

For this price, the glasses look really good – visibility, even with tinted lenses in dark rooms, is excellent. The build quality is also at a high level, which I expected in this price range. The only downside is the tendency to fog up, which is a bit disappointing for this class of product. Overall, however, the quality and comfort of use are very satisfying to me.
