I have several bigger and smaller Vics, but I use this one most often. It's a pity that the other side of the file is practically useless—you could have a different grade or another tool. Price is lower than the Spartan model. I think it's the optimal option for everyday carry (EDC).

In my opinion, this is the perfect pocket knife for everyday pocket carry—like a compact Spartan. The main blade is not much shorter, and it has three openers and an awl, with the additional advantage of a nail file. You can extend it with a small screwdriver and a pin.

On a daily basis I carry a Leatherman Sidekick on my belt, but when I have to wear a suit and want something lighter, Victorinox works great. For me, this model has everything that's really needed, and is very sharp out of the box.
