Great EDC pouch at a very affordable price, as is usually the case with Helikon – we have solid quality and well-thought-out solutions here. The pouch has many different compartments where you can store almost everything you need. At the moment, I have put a multitool, pocket knife, tweezers, small pliers, flashlight, notebook, pen, paracord, needle and thread set, emergency blanket, a piece of string, fire starter, and a lighter inside. There is still plenty of free space left for more accessories. Thanks to the Velcro, you can easily mount it in one of the compartments of the 8-liter Helikon bag. I definitely recommend it.

One of the biggest advantages is compatibility with the Versatile Insert System – thanks to the Velcro panel, you can easily attach the organizer to a Helikon-Tex backpack, bag, or waist pack, or just use it on its own without having to move everything separately. The pouch is very solidly made, but it lacks an external attachment point – that's why I'm subtracting one star. Velcro straps allow you to attach it to other Helikon products, but without molle straps it's not as universal. Still, it works great as a standalone gear pouch.

This is the most interesting insert from the EDC Insert series. The compartments are practical, the mesh is roomy, and the zipper is good. After removing it from your backpack, you can secure the Velcro with the flaps and use it as a standalone organizer. This way, you don’t have to move things around – just put the whole thing, for example, in a bike pannier.
