TickLess – ultrasonic tick repeller is a small, user-friendly gadget that generates 40 kHz ultrasonic waves, which are inaudible to humans and pets. These waves interfere with the ticks' sensory receptors, causing disorientation and making it challenging for them to locate a host. Consequently, the parasite is unable to differentiate humans from the environment. This product is perfect for outdoor use—whether in forests, gardens, during camping trips, fishing adventures, or survival outings—where there is a chance of encountering ticks. Ticks can carry dangerous diseases, including Lyme disease and tick-borne encephalitis, so deploying TickLess greatly lowers the risk of bites and infections. NOTE: Even when used properly, there remains a possibility that a tick may land on skin or clothing. However, the ultrasonic signal diminishes the likelihood of the tick attaching to the host.
Ticks detect hosts using the Haller's organ located on their forelegs. Ultrasound disrupts this sensory organ, hindering the tick's ability to find prey. The range is approximately 2 meters, forming a protective zone. For maximum effectiveness, TickLess should be attached to the outer layer of clothing—easily clipped onto a belt, backpack, or other equipment—so the sound waves can disperse freely.
The device's housing is crafted from sturdy plastic and is moisture resistant according to the IP13 standard. However, it should not be submerged or come into direct contact with water.
TickLess offers an environmentally friendly option, free of chemicals, and is straightforward and easy to use. It poses no risk to pregnant women, children, seniors, and those with pacemakers, presenting a safe alternative to chemical repellents that may sometimes trigger allergic reactions.
