Ticks detect hosts using the Haller's organ situated on their first pair of legs. The ultrasonic waves at 40 kHz generated by the device interfere with this organ's ability to perceive stimuli. It has an effective range of approximately 2.5 meters.
Constructed with durable plastic resistant to damage, the green casing of the device complies with the IP13 standard, indicating protection against solid objects over 50 mm and resistance to water spray at a 60-degree angle.
Device operation
Before utilizing the device, ensure the built-in battery (Li-Ion, micro USB) is charged, then activate it by pressing and holding the button. Activation is confirmed by four LED blinks. If the battery level falls below 30%, a red indicator will appear. To deactivate TickLess Active, swiftly press the button three times, with two LED blinks signaling deactivation.
The device must be secured to a shoelace to ensure effective distribution of ultrasonic waves. A full charge provides functionality for 7 to 14 days. Engage or disengage the night location mode (indicated by rapid LED blinks) by holding the button for a few seconds.

I chose this repeller mainly because it has a battery and can be charged. Unfortunately, the mounting system for shoes doesn't work well when I'm walking through thickets and uneven ground. During a mountain trek, I lost it somewhere along the way.

It's hard to say if it works, because with such devices the results may vary. However, I hear sounds when I put my ear to the device. It was used several times and no ticks appeared. A downside is the lack of a sound signal informing you that it has turned off after 8 hours – I didn't notice this when spending more time in a risky area. The battery lasts a long time.

The product is effective, although less practical than the battery-operated model. It activates by itself in the backpack, and the lack of an automatic shut-off function leads to complete discharge. The shape and mounting method are not very convenient. Regular charging is needed, because it doesn't last as long as the battery-powered device. I recommend the classic variant more.
