Texar ACU sweatshirt - UCP

The combat shirt with ACU (Army Combat Uniform) fit is designed for use in demanding conditions where durability and ergonomics are essential. The design is based on military uniforms and considers optimal placement of pockets and adjustment elements, enhancing comfort of use and providing easy access to needed equipment.

The production uses fabric with a Rip-Stop weave, which is a blend of 65% polyester and 35% cotton. The fabric structure limits the spread of damage, increasing resistance to abrasion and tearing.

Polyester is responsible for the durability and faster drying of the material, while cotton increases comfort of wearing and breathability. Additional fabric layers in areas particularly exposed to wear extend the shirt's longevity.

The shirt has 4 pockets designed for convenient use:

• 2 chest pockets - positioned at an angle to facilitate access even when wearing a tactical vest, closed with a velcro flap for quick opening
• 2 shoulder pockets - provide additional space for small accessories, also closed with a velcro flap for stable content security

The shirt is fastened with a zipper, secured by an additional velcro strip. This protects against wind ingress and secures the zipper from dirt.

The elbow area is equipped with a construction allowing for placement of internal protective pads, which increases protection during ground contact and reduces material wear at key points.

The sleeve cuffs have adjustment with velcro, allowing for wrist adaptation and improving wearing comfort. A stand-up collar fastened with velcro offers additional neck protection from wind and external factors.

On the shoulder pockets and at chest height there are velcro panels, allowing for the attachment of identification patches and name tags. This solution allows for the customization of the shirt to its specific use.

UCP (Universal Camouflage Pattern) is a digital camouflage pattern introduced at the beginning of the 21st century as a successor to US Woodland and Desert. It combines camouflage functions in various environments - forest, desert and urban - which is why shades of green and beige are combined with gray. The spot arrangement is based on the MARPAT pattern, and the pastel, low-contrast colors create a pixelated micro-pattern that blends well into the environment at short distances but merges into a uniform silhouette at greater distances. UCP showed high effectiveness in infrared, which contributed to its introduction, but it was eventually replaced by OCP camouflage based on the MultiCam pattern.
