After initial tests, I believe that the lowest temperature at which this product can be used comfortably is 0°C. Assuming that every day we wear jeans, a T-shirt, and a jacket, and we want to rely solely on this cocoon – going with it below zero is risky. Even a slight frost will require adding an extra layer under the jacket or, better yet, using a sleeping bag, quilt, or blanket. The packed (non-compressed) cocoon with a hammock is about 40 cm high and about 35 cm in diameter. This really requires a large backpack, especially if you want to take a tarp as well. That's why I plan to use the cocoon mainly when the temperature outside is above zero – then I don’t have to carry extra gear to stay warm. The cocoon with the hammock and possibly a tarp is enough for me. In other conditions, I'll choose camping with a bivy and sleeping bag, which take up less space. A few more observations – once inside the cocoon, there's a lot of space, so you can move your arms freely; nothing puts pressure on your shoulders. The whole thing is solid and functional equipment, great in the right temperature conditions, but you have to consider the substantial size. Unfortunately, such a set with a hammock takes up a lot of room. If you want to be warm and dry, you'll need to bring a few other things besides the hammock, and there's no way around that. That's why I often choose the bivy, but sometimes I like to lazily rock between the trees – and for that, this cocoon is perfect.
