Great device, it takes up some space when unfolded, but the view is amazing
Sky Watcher BK1309EQ2 telescope has a f/6.9 light gathering power, allowing for adequate observations and enabling the use of higher magnifications.
It is one of the most popular telescopes and an ideal model for introducing amateur astronomers to the world of astronomy. For a modest price, you get a large telescope with a fairly large mirror.
Optical system
Refracting telescope (Newtonian system) Its main advantage is its large 130 mm mirror. This telescope collects about 240 times more light than the human eye at night, allowing you to observe objects up to almost 12 magnitudes (with naked eye visibility up to 6 magnitudes). The size of the mirror is also related to the optical resolution, which in this telescope allows stars that are more than 1.1" apart to be resolved.
The telescope is equipped with a 6x24 optical finder.
Mount
The EQ2 equatorial mount with micro-motors allows you to set up the telescope according to a star atlas or sky map and smoothly move it along the right ascension and declination axes. It is an improved head with greater load capacity and better stability than the EQ1, especially recommended for longer telescope tubes with a focal length of 900 mm. The mount should be properly aligned and synchronized with the north celestial pole, which will allow for easy operation of the telescope. The mount can be upgraded with motors for automatic tracking of objects in the sky.
Focuser
The telescope is equipped with an eyepiece extractor, allowing the use of 1.25" eyepieces. The set includes two eyepieces with focal lengths of 25 and 10 mm, giving magnifications of 36 and 90x. In addition, a 2x Barlow lens is included, allowing for additional magnifications of 72 and up to 180x.

Sky-Watcher is a brand established in 1999 on the initiative of the Taiwanese company Synta Technology Corporation, currently recognized as the world's largest manufacturer of amateur astronomical equipment. The range includes telescopes suitable for various levels of expertise, from simple models for beginners to advanced solutions such as ED refractors, Esprit series astrographs, and Maksutov designs. Dobsonian telescopes are also highly regarded, including flagship models with mirrors up to 16 inches in diameter, as well as precision EQ8 equatorial mounts, which are popular with astrophotography enthusiasts. Since 2008, the company has been developing unique Flex Tube Dobsonian telescopes with a telescopically extendable tube, which have become one of the most recognizable elements of Sky-Watcher's offer in the world of amateur astronomy.
