A short focal length lenticular telescope suspended on an EQ3-2 parallactic mount.
This telescope has a fairly large aperture, relatively small dimensions and is suitable for first attempts with astrophotography as long as it is equipped with a suitable drive. Due to its large aperture, moderate focal length, it is a piece of equipment suitable for simple astrophotography with relatively short exposure times.
Optical system
The telescope is built in a lensing system as a short-focus refractor with a large aperture. The two-element Fraunhofer objective lens has a diameter of 120 mm and a focal length of 600 mm. Anti-reflection coatings have been applied to the optical surfaces to guarantee good transmission and contrast . The set includes a 90-degree mirror angle cap and Kellner eyepieces - 10 mm and 25 mm.
Mounting
The telescope's tube is mounted on a stable EQ3-2 parallactic mount. This is a relatively massive structure, sufficient to photograph the sky with telescopes up to 150mm in diameter, but at the same time light enough to consider such equipment quite mobile. The mount is equipped with precise micromotions, moreover, it is possible to connect quite advanced drives such as SynScan GoTo (so-called Upgrade Kit EQ3-2). The EQ3-2 mount allows you to attach telescopes equipped with a Vixen standard Dovetail mount rail.
Extractor
Rack&Pinion type eyepiece focuser (rack & pinion focuser). This focuser is terminated by a mounting ring with screws for clamping 2-inch accessories. There is a standard Sky-Watcher finder mount on the body of the focuser, and the focuser is compatible with Sky-Watcher focuser drives.
