A medium-sized Newtonian system telescope with moderate aperture, well suited for planetary observations as well as for observing nebular objects. Hassle-free to use, stable, producing sharp and clear images with minimal coma, it is a great solution for beginning astronomy enthusiasts.
Optical System
This is a telescope with a relatively long focal length and moderate focal length. In this case luminosity is f/8 which virtually eliminates the basic drawback of Newtonian telescopes, which is coma. The images given at a moderately large aperture (15cm) are calm, this telescope is less sensitive to bad seeing than 20-40cm telescopes.
Mounting
The telescope is suspended on an azimuthal Dobson mount, which allows easy rotation in azimuth and elevation. The telescope is mounted on two sides in a forked mount, while the entire top of the mount rotates at the base. With a very low center of gravity and made of fairly rigid materials, the telescope is suspended in a much more stable manner than parallactic mounts.
Extractor
The telescope is equipped with a 2" eyepiece extractor with a reduction to 1.25". It is a Rack&Pinion type focuser, i.e. a classic focuser built around a rack and pinion.

Sky-Watcher is a brand established in 1999 on the initiative of the Taiwanese company Synta Technology Corporation, currently recognized as the world's largest manufacturer of amateur astronomical equipment. The range includes telescopes suitable for various levels of expertise, from simple models for beginners to advanced solutions such as ED refractors, Esprit series astrographs, and Maksutov designs. Dobsonian telescopes are also highly regarded, including flagship models with mirrors up to 16 inches in diameter, as well as precision EQ8 equatorial mounts, which are popular with astrophotography enthusiasts. Since 2008, the company has been developing unique Flex Tube Dobsonian telescopes with a telescopically extendable tube, which have become one of the most recognizable elements of Sky-Watcher's offer in the world of amateur astronomy.
