The MAK 127 OTAW telescope is designed with the Maksutov optical system, renowned for its superb image clarity and the absence of chromatic aberration. Its construction includes a correction plate - meniscus, primary mirror, and a secondary mirror positioned on the inner side of the meniscus. Furthermore, this setup enables you to capture timelapses, photograph selected objects sequentially, or even create full spherical panoramas. Essentially, it can be described as a computerized photographic head with a precise electric drive.
The telescope does not include a mount, but the tube can be attached to a photographic tripod using a compatible connector integrated into the tube. Given the telescope's considerable focal length, the manufacturer recommends using astronomical mounts of at least the AZ4 (azimuthal) or EQ3-2 (parallactic) class.
