For almost 20 years, I used folding saws from the market and I was satisfied. However, after comparing them with the Silky Bigboy 360-7, I noticed that it can be much better. The long blade and large, widely spaced teeth make a difference. The metal frame along the entire length increases durability, and the rubber handle is very comfortable and fits well in the hand. Admittedly, it costs as much as 10 market saws, but I personally prefer one Bigboy over ten cheaper models.

Silky is a Japanese manufacturer of hand saws with a long tradition, dating back to 1919, when Katsuji Miyawaki founded the company in the city of Ono. For over a century, the brand has gained a reputation for reliability and precision, and its tools are distinguished by their exceptional quality. The saws are made of the highest quality steel and undergo impulse hardening technology, which, combined with a design intended for ‘pull’ cutting, ensures smooth operation and precise, clean cuts. In 1980, Silky patented its own saw setting process, which significantly increases the sharpness of the tools – this solution has been used in the 4-Retsume and Miraime2 models, among others. The Japanese manufacturer's solutions are used by professionals around the world: arborists, foresters, carpenters and bushcraft enthusiasts. It is worth mentioning that in 1985, the ‘Gomboy’ model was the first on the market to feature a rubber-coated handle, which contributed to it winning the prestigious Japanese Good Design Award. Thanks to the combination of traditional Japanese craftsmanship and modern technological solutions, Silky has been one of the leading manufacturers of hand saws for years.

The saw is amazing – it cuts just as well as a gasoline one, and its build quality is top-notch, you can feel its high quality. It's quite large, but this translates into outstanding performance.

This is truly the queen of saws. You cut by pulling the saw toward yourself. Before you even get tired, a log as thick as a thigh is already cut through. Amazing when cutting thicker trees, ideally from several sides. I wish a sheath came included. Despite this, I give it five stars and a big plus.

Fantastic! The saw is very sturdy and durable – it really encourages you to work. It’s quite large, so it can easily cut through big pieces of wood. Cutting with it is pure pleasure – it goes fast and smoothly. I highly recommend it.

This is a saw that is hard to match. It's not small, but not too big – it allows for easy cutting of quite large pieces of wood. Working with it is a pleasure. The best recommendation is that I have three more Silky saws of various sizes, because this is truly top-tier equipment.

The saw is very durable and well-made. Using it is pure pleasure. It's light for its size, yet extremely strong and long-lasting – it's hard to damage. It cuts very efficiently and quickly.

In a word – wonderful! I do not agree with the opinions that it is not suitable for cutting trees – I have cut several dozen trees on my plot with it myself. Of course, I mean trees up to about 50 cm in circumference; you won't cut down a hundred-year-old oak with it. It's perfect for thicker branches, preparing firewood, garden work, and many other uses. When cutting close to the ground, you can set a slight offset so you don't hit your hand on the ground. Unfortunately, the screw holding the blade can loosen; I had to replace it once. Despite this minor flaw, I am still extremely impressed with this equipment.

Very good saw. Of course, it is not for cutting large trees, but it handles smaller tasks excellently. It has a nice matte color and a strap that prevents it from accidentally slipping out of your hand, which makes it perfect for bushcraft and survival. I also bought a solid case for mine, which protects the saw and secures the contents of the backpack. Additionally, the saw has a lock in the form of a button, which makes opening and closing it safely easier. It cuts well in both directions.

Great saw. Obviously, you can't cut big trees with it, but it works perfectly for smaller tasks. It has a nice matte color and a strap to prevent it from slipping out of your hand – makes it a solid tool for bushcraft and survival. I also have a sturdy case that protects both the saw and my stuff in the backpack. The additional safety feature to prevent accidental opening and closing, in the form of a button, is very practical. It cuts well in both directions.

With this saw, I cut through a log as thick as an adult's thigh – it was very wet after long rains. Maybe it didn't take a second, but the cut was really fast. The saw is very stable during operation. The cut surface is perfectly smooth, as if it had been sanded. The price-to-quality ratio is very favorable.

Working with this saw is pure pleasure. It's light for its size, yet solid enough that it's hard to damage. The prints on the blade look very impressive and attest to the high class of the equipment. In my opinion, it’s a remarkable saw – despite its considerable size, it will fit in a backpack and can easily handle thicker logs.
-
Very sturdy and durable saw. It cuts exceptionally efficiently and quickly. I appreciate the Japanese craftsmanship. A sheath would be useful, but even without one I rate it five stars plus. The rubber handle fits great in your hand, whether you hold it with one or both hands. The blade is flexible, but within normal limits – you don't have to worry about it breaking easily. The price is not the lowest, but what matters is quality – I chose it and am very satisfied.
-
My first impressions of the saw are very positive. Solid construction, comfortable handle, large teeth, fairly stiff blade for its thickness, two ways to lock the blade while cutting. A small reservation is that you need to be careful when folding – the blade can hit the handle instead of the gap, but that's just a matter of getting used to it. Now I just need to test it outdoors, but I'm optimistic.
-
The saw cuts branches very efficiently – thinner ones can be cut in a few seconds and strokes. I had no problem cutting about 10 pieces, as seen in the photo, which was enough to keep the campfire burning all night, and the warmth spread nicely. Camping comfort was greatly improved.

The saw is excellent. High-quality workmanship and great materials. It's definitely the best saw I've had so far. Thanks to the length of the blade, you can cut even large pieces of wood with it.
