The Savotta S-IFAK Horizontal Mount is an excellent complement to the Savotta S-IFAK insert and a great choice in terms of ergonomics. The biggest advantage of this first aid kit is the horizontal mounting, which works perfectly on the hip belt of a backpack, at the back on a tactical belt (on the lower back), or on the lower section of a MOLLE panel. Thanks to this, the kit doesn't take up vertical space, doesn't restrict freedom of movement when bending over, and at the same time provides very fast, often double-sided access to the contents. The product is made from durable Cordura, which is already a standard for the Savotta brand—the pouch will easily withstand crawling, pushing through thickets, and the toughest weather conditions, all while protecting everything inside. When combined with the S-IFAK insert, it results in a professional, well-thought-out, and lightning-fast rescue set. This is top-notch equipment that you can rely on in critical situations.
Savotta S-IFAK Horizontal Mount Medical Pouch - M05 Finnish Woodland Camo
Medical pouch in M05 Finnish Woodland Camo camouflage, designed for carrying and storing the S-IFAK Insert first aid kit together with its contents (not included). It is made of durable 500D Cordura, ensuring high resistance to mechanical damage and harsh field conditions. A distinctive feature is the open-top design with an adjustable elastic cord and a velcro panel (hook-and-loop fastener) for attaching medical identification patches. The pouch is mounted horizontally using the MOLLE/PALS system or directly on a belt, allowing for comfortable and stable carry.
500D Cordura, NIR
The pouch made from 500D Cordura provides increased resistance to abrasion, tears, and intense field use. The material is characterized by good durability while maintaining a relatively low weight, which is important in tactical accouterment. It withstands harsh weather conditions and moisture well, increasing its usability in outdoor and combat applications. The material used meets NIR (Near Infrared) requirements, which means limited visibility in the infrared spectrum.
open design, compact dimensions
The Horizontal Mount model features an open sleeve design without traditional zippers or buckles, with the contents secured by an adjustable elastic cord (shock cord). The absence of a traditional main compartment with closure allows for immediate access to the S-IFAK Insert first aid kit (not included). The dimensions are 21 x 10 x 7 cm, allowing the carrying of a basic medical kit.
horizontal arrangement, MOLLE/PALS system
The pouch is suitable for carrying in a horizontal arrangement, most often on the back of a belt or on accouterment elements. It can be attached both directly on a belt (up to 50 mm) and in the MOLLE/PALS system on tactical vests, backpacks, or chest rigs. The velcro panel on the front allows for attaching any patches or emblems, such as a national flag, unit insignia, or so-called Morale Patches.

M05 camouflage
The M05 camouflage (Finnish M05 Maastokuvio) is a family of pixelated camouflage patterns introduced into the Finnish Defence Forces in 2005 as a successor to the M91 pattern. It was developed based on digital analysis of photographs of Finnish forests taken in different seasons by the Finnish Forest Research Institute. The M05 family includes several variants, such as woodland, snow, and cold weather.
The main woodland version of M05 consists of patches in light green, dark green, brown, and dark graphite, effectively replicating the structure of Finnish forests. Due to similar vegetation and terrain conditions, the M05 Woodland camouflage also performs well in the forests of Central and Eastern Europe, providing effective concealment in natural surroundings.
MILITARY is a premium dealer of Savotta.
Savotta is a Finnish family business from Karstula that has been designing and manufacturing backpacks, bags, tents and field equipment for the military, rescue services and people who value heading out into the wild since 1955. The brand's gear has been supplied to the Finnish Defence Forces without interruption since the 1960s, meeting the strict standards demanded of military equipment. Savotta builds its products with durability in mind, which is why it reaches for top-tier materials such as Cordura, with almost all of its raw materials (97%) coming from suppliers within the European Union. The brand also stands out for its own proprietary solutions: the Rapid Adjustment Slider quick-adjustment system, frames made of polyethylene plates, and laser-cut PALS/MOLLE attachments. Every design is created in Finland, and the entire manufacturing process remains within the borders of the European Union. As interest has grown, the brand has expanded production - since 2025 its products have been made in three countries: Finland, Estonia and Poland. Regardless of where a given item was made, it undergoes final quality control at the Finnish headquarters in Karstula.

Cordura is a material woven from durable nylon fibers, developed by DuPont. The structure of the material provides lightness and abrasion resistance, as well as weather resistance. Due to its properties, Cordura is widely used in tactical equipment.
MOLLE (Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment) is a system for attachment of tactical equipment, used for example in backpacks or tactical vests. It provides the possibility of flexible and modular placement of various accessories and pockets, which allows personalization and optimal adjustment of the item to the specific needs of the user. It is widely used by the military, special services and survival and outdoor enthusiasts.
PALS (Pouch Attachment Ladder System) is a modular mounting system for pockets and pouches, used in the MOLLE system. It consists of horizontally sewn rows of 1 inch (25.4 mm) wide, fixed spacing webbing (such as on a backpack) and vertical webbing for attachment and threading (on a pocket). This system is usually equipped with snaps, which further secures the pinned items.
