Bit of a Savotta fan boy here I own pretty much everything they have made and now I have started purchasing their older stuff. This pack fits their 4L side pouches really well and like with all their other products the quality is top notch. The only negative thing I would add is that I wish this pack was sold with the frame rather than this being a separate purchase, to me a pack of this size really needs the frame and I couldn't see myself using it without it. Looking forward to using this pack over the summer months for my camping trips and it's now my gear bag for my airsoft stuff.
Savotta Jaakari M Backpack 30 l - Green
Green backpack with a capacity of 30 liters, designed for intensive use in the field, daily use, and as part of a larger set. Slim structure, contoured shoulder straps, and padded hip belt provide comfort during longer hikes with heavier gear.
Main compartment closed with a flap, divider compatible with hydration system.
Main compartment secured from above with a collar with drawstrings. The flap has a zip pocket for storing documents, keys, or a phone. A zipper on the side of the backpack allows quick access to the interior without opening the flap. There are two mesh pockets on the sides.
A hydration system pocket is located on the rear inner wall. Two ports on the sides allow the tube to be routed from either the left or right side, as well as the threading of cables or an antenna.
Velcro panel
On the front of the flap, there is a velcro panel (hook and loop) that allows the attachment of any patch, such as a flag, unit emblem, or so-called Morale Patches.
MOLLE/PALS webbing, compression straps
The MOLLE/PALS system is placed on the sides, flap, and hip belt, allowing for the attachment of additional pouches and accessories. Four bottom loops enable attaching a sleeping bag, tent, or other gear. Side compression straps adjust the backpack's volume to the load being carried or allow for attaching additional equipment externally.
durable Cordura 1000D
The backpack is made of Cordura 1000D, known for its high abrasion and tear resistance, with an internal polyurethane coating. The tapes and stitching made from durable polyester meet military standards.
padded shoulder straps, hip belt
Padded S-shaped shoulder straps with detachable chest strap and soft hip belt with additional lumbar support provide wearing comfort under heavy loads. The belt is easily adjustable with a forward-pulling system and is equipped with a quick-release buckle.
stiffening insert, possibility to add a frame
In a pocket at the back, there is a removable plastic stiffening insert that ensures even weight distribution and eliminates point pressure on the back. This is a proprietary back stiffening system developed by the company Savotta, in the Jääkäri M model allowing for the replacement of the stock insert with a compatible aluminum frame (sold separately).

Cordura is a material woven from durable nylon fibers, developed by DuPont. The structure of the material provides lightness and abrasion resistance, as well as weather resistance. Due to its properties, Cordura is widely used in tactical equipment.
MOLLE (Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment) is a system for attachment of tactical equipment, used for example in backpacks or tactical vests. It provides the possibility of flexible and modular placement of various accessories and pockets, which allows personalization and optimal adjustment of the item to the specific needs of the user. It is widely used by the military, special services and survival and outdoor enthusiasts.
PALS (Pouch Attachment Ladder System) is a modular mounting system for pockets and pouches, used in the MOLLE system. It consists of horizontally sewn rows of 1 inch (25.4 mm) wide, fixed spacing webbing (such as on a backpack) and vertical webbing for attachment and threading (on a pocket). This system is usually equipped with snaps, which further secures the pinned items.

Top quality. Maybe the toughest build backpack. Only minus is lack of pockets and bit stiffy material. I have been using that couple years and it still looks like new.

Great product. One of the best in its category of backpacks. High quality of workmanship and materials used. The whole thing is thoughtfully designed, without unnecessary extras, and fully functional. The only downside is the high price, which, however, is completely adequate for the quality.
