The shoes look attractive, are made of velour, and their sole is very durable—resistant to abrasion and impacts, you could consider it indestructible. Unfortunately, that's where the advantages end. The shoes are very uncomfortable, the sole is as stiff as in work boots. I tried various insoles, but my foot still slides, which causes toe pain—even after a short hike, I feel as if I have a board under my feet. After using these shoes, my feet are extremely tired. I bought three pairs, but sold two of them. I don't understand where the positive opinions about them come from. I decided to buy tactical Merrell boots and I am very satisfied with them. In my opinion, Protektor Grom is a poorly designed shoe that only pretends to be tactical or trekking footwear. I do not recommend it.
Protektor Grom Light Boots - Navy Blue
Durable tactical boots, designed with a reinforced construction that provides protection for the ankle joint. The high-height upper is made of high-quality velour leather. They use a quick lacing system, which increases the comfort of use.
High upper made of velour leather
The high upper made of velour leather is distinguished by excellent breathability. Ankle protection is provided by a leather insert running from the heel to the laces. The upper part of the upper has been finished with a soft velour collar, which wraps the calf and minimizes the risk of abrasions resulting from contact with the stiff edge of the boot.
Foot protection and support during movement
The heels and toes of the boots have been reinforced with an additional layer of leather and rubber molded onto the sole, effectively protecting against impacts. This solution safeguards the user's feet from collisions with curbs, protruding reinforcements, stones, or other hard surfaces. Both the external and internal edges of the foot are protected from injuries, which plays a key role during intensive use in demanding terrain.
Flexible PU sole
Polyurethane sole (PU/PU) stands out with its high flexibility, abrasion resistance, and resistance to oils, greases, as well as diluted acids and alkalis. Its tread pattern is designed to provide excellent traction on various urban surfaces, such as asphalt, concrete, cobblestone, gravel, or grit. The sole's construction ensures smooth and stable movement on both flat and inclined surfaces, including stairs and ladders.
Certified NATO-grade quality
The manufacturer of Grom footwear, Protektor S.A., holds the AQAP 2110:2006 certification, which confirms compliance with NATO's stringent requirements regarding the quality and functionality of military footwear. This is a guarantee that the boots meet the highest standards required of tactical footwear designed for intensive use in demanding conditions.

The shoes are very comfortable; it's worth trying them on before buying – for me, a smaller size than usual turned out to fit better. I've been wearing them for over half a year and I haven't noticed any flaws or significant signs of wear. They're lightweight, don't tire my feet even during long walks, and work well both daily and in more difficult terrain. In my opinion, it was a very successful purchase.

Review after 5 months: The shoes look great and are very comfortable and solid. The only downside is the very light sole color – it makes the leather get dirty more quickly and unfortunately it's very noticeable.

I've been using these shoes for over a year and there are no signs of use. They're so comfortable that I barely notice them on my feet. Great both for the city and for hiking. Highly recommended!

Shoes bought in August 2024 with summer in mind. Very simple, light, and comfortable. Walking all day is not tiring; from spring to autumn there are no signs of major wear, only a bit lighter in color. I use them in the forest at work – I am a forester. They are resistant to branches, shrubs, and mud. They do get soaked because they are not coated, but they dry quickly, sometimes even on the foot. Previously, I had branded Altamas, which wore out quickly, but these show no damage, all-leather, and the sole shows no signs of wear. They don’t slip in mud and are easy to clean. Great shoes at a good price – I can recommend them with a clear conscience.

These shoes are really good. Comfortable, solid, made of high-quality leather. Your feet won’t sweat even during this summer’s hot days. The price is also affordable. Definitely worth buying.

Very durable and extremely comfortable shoes. I've been using them for over two years and there are still no signs of wear. Solid workmanship and high-quality materials. Plus, a great promotional price.

I really value these shoes – they're comfortable, you wear them almost like closed sandals. I had a black pair of this same model in size 44 and it was perfect. It's worth paying attention to the tongue – in one pair it was very stiff and pressed, in another it was soft and fit well.

Fantastic shoes! I walked in them for a few days in the desert – I wore thick socks and long pants. Even after a whole day walking in the sand, I didn’t find even a grain of sand inside! Like all leather shoes, it's worth breaking them in before using for longer periods.

This is another pair of these shoes that I use. I haven't found anything better for hot days. At first, they needed some breaking in, but after a few hours they fit well. The quick lacing system really works – just pull and you're done. Great summer shoes at a very good price.

The perfect shoes not only for summer, but also for the transitional season. The leather adjusts quickly, and I've never gotten any blisters. They absorb shock from the ground very well. I’ve already bought another pair because after two years the soles on the previous ones wore out – that’s the best recommendation.

Shoes from the Polish brand Grom, which is important to me. I think they look fantastic, and for high shoes they are very comfortable. Unfortunately, I had to return them because the size turned out to be too small. I waited a long time for size 42, but it never became available, so I had to buy it somewhere else :-/

In my opinion, for this price you get very good quality – you won’t find better shoes in this price range. I’ve been using them for about 7–8 months and nothing bad has happened, they are very comfortable, although without better insoles it’s hard to walk more than 7 km, but with insoles you can wear them all day. The laces are durable and tying is quick. I disagree with the opinions that your foot “floats” in them – even in the summer I didn’t have this problem. The leather is flawless, everything is fine. Overall, good shoes, although they could be a bit more comfortable. If you’re looking for cheap shoes of this type, I definitely recommend them. Of course, you need to break them in a bit, but after a few outings they fit perfectly.

The shoes work great in the city. They are lightweight, comfortable, and you can easily wear them all day without getting tired. They provide good ventilation, especially on hot days. They look good and fit many situations. I recommend them to anyone who needs comfortable everyday shoes!

Review after almost a year and a half of use – the shoes are still whole and undamaged, very comfortable and light. All made of leather, without a lining, so they breathe very well. They've covered many kilometers with me, and I often use them at the shooting range. They're some of my favorite shoes. I also have a gray version, which already has a lining.
