The shorts are constructed from a durable blend (65% polyester, 35% cotton) with a fabric weight of 225 g/m2, offering resistance to abrasions and mechanical damage. The material is treated with DuPont Teflon, enhancing its resistance to moisture and dirt.
16 practical pockets
The model comes with 16 functional pockets:
- two deep front pockets with slanted openings and reinforced edges
- two small thigh pockets designed for a smartphone or an extra magazine
- large side cargo pockets featuring snap and button fastenings
- two ID pockets located on the cargo pockets, zippered for carrying documents or small flat items
- two pen slots on top of the cargo pockets
- two pen slots on each cargo pocket
- two pockets on the cargo areas, suitable for a GPS receiver, cell phone, communicator, or a 20-round magazine for M4/M16
- two back pockets with Velcro fastening that open quickly, ideal for holding maps, documents, etc.
YKK zippers, adjustable belt
The waist circumference can be adjusted with an elastic tunnel belt, allowing for a customized fit. Sturdy loops allow you to attach equipment such as a knife, multitool or flashlight. The two front loops have additional loops, allowing to attach, for example, a carabiner.

Just like with the long version of these pants, I was also worried about choosing a size "blindly" when buying these, but Pentagon didn't disappoint again – you can confidently choose the size you wear in jeans. I recommend washing them before first use, because – just like with the longer pants – they become softer and more comfortable to wear.

Amazing shorts, fantastic material, this time I received them from my wife as a gift :) They work well both for trips to the forest and in the city. Very good cut, not too wide. They dry quickly. I recommend them.

Fantastic shorts – extremely comfortable, well made, and durable. I recommend them to everyone. As for sizing – based on the size chart, I chose a much too large size, and in the end, 44 corresponds more or less to "L" or size 33/34 in other brands.

I already have three long models of Pentagon pants, and these are my first Ranger shorts. I appreciate them for the large number of pockets, durability, good quality materials, and sturdy zippers. The biggest plus is the pockets for two phones. I give them 5 out of 5.
