Pentagon Artaxes Jacket - Coyote

Lightweight hooded jacket in Coyote, crafted from resilient Softshell fabric. The built-in StormTex membrane delivers water resistance up to 8000 mm/m2 and breathability of 5000 g/m2. The outer layer features a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating, safeguarding against both moisture and dirt. Inside, the soft fleece with Grid-Tech technology ensures effective wind and rain protection while providing excellent thermal insulation.

8 spacious pockets

This design features 8 functional pockets:

  • two pockets at the chest
  • two located on the shoulders
  • one on the left forearm
  • two internal pockets, including one with a headphone port
  • one on the back, known as the poacher’s pocket, situated around the lumbar region

All pockets are secured with zippers.

Two-way zipper, ventilation openings

The main closure features a two-way zipper crafted by YKK. The collar incorporates a soft fabric guard to safeguard the chin. Ventilation openings with zippers are located under the arms and are lined with Mesh fabric, enhancing airflow and facilitating temperature regulation.

Adjustable hood, high collar, reflective element

A high collar, along with a three-point adjustable hood, guarantees comfort even in heavy rain and strong winds. Cold weather protection is further improved by hook-and-loop adjustable cuffs and drawcords at the hem and in the hood. In situations with low visibility, a detachable reflective element on the hood offers additional safety.

Velcro panels

Velcro panels on the shoulders provide a space for attaching patches, like flags, unit insignia, or morale patches, allowing for a customized appearance of the jacket.

    The jacket is comfortable to wear, warm and comfortable, and resistant to rain and wind. The hood rolled up in the collar does not get in the way, so the collar is comfortable. I have size XL, and the size is accurate. I am very satisfied with the jacket.

    The jacket material is elastic (2-way stretch) and does not restrict movement at all, which is extremely important during active use. The outer layer is treated with a dirt- and water-repellent DWR Teflon Grade 4 coating. During light rain or wet snow, water simply beads off without soaking through to the inside. The StormTex® membrane (8000 mm waterproofness, 5000 g/m² breathability) provides excellent protection against strong wind. Another advantage is the interior. The waffle-structured Grid-Tech® lining retains body heat very well in its “cells,” while at the same time preventing overheating when you are moving actively. If it gets too hot, large underarm ventilation openings with zippers and protective mesh are provided.

    The jacket is warm and feels comfortable against the skin. It does not restrict freedom of movement. The only downside is that the Velcro area on the sleeves is a bit small for attaching patches (flag). The hood can be rolled up and secured with Velcro, which makes the collar comfortable and not bothersome. The sizing is accurate; XL is truly XL. All in all, a good comfortable jacket.

    I am 6 ft 2' (187/188 cm) tall and a slim 84 Kg in weight, I bought this jacket in a large. So far I have only worn a T shirt underneath it, but there is enough/plenty of room to layer up in colder weather. This jacket is generous with sleeve length which with my long arms I require. The jacket is everything I was looking for, its well designed, good quality and at a very reasonable price. The inside zip pockets are large enough to hold my wallet in one and my iphone 11 in the the other. The sleeve pockets are also big enough to hold my phone if I wished, but I just use them to hold my car and house keys. I haven't used the large rear pocket yet, but the breast pockets are large enough for gloves and hat. I cant comment on its water proofing yet, but I didn't buy it for that and if required it is light enough to throw a water proof jacket over it. I think this will make a great travel jacket, where all my documents and every day carries can be stored securely. Hope this helps

    I ordered sizes XXL and XL. I weigh 97 kg, I'm 180 cm tall, and my chest is 115 cm. XXL fits very well. I recommend choosing a larger size because the fit is rather for slim people. I have a bit of a belly, but not too much. XL was too tight and you wouldn't be able to wear a sweatshirt underneath, so I suggest not relying solely on the size chart—it's best to try it on. Overall, I am satisfied with the jacket.

    I have had this jacket for over 5 years and the only thing that broke were the Velcro fasteners on the cuffs. I fixed them with fishing line and I still use the jacket. I've worn it in really tough conditions and it performs excellently. Highly recommended.
