If you don’t want to lose your hearing at an indoor range when someone is shooting an AK nearby, these headphones are for you. 32 dB is the maximum protection that active ear protectors provide – plus the price is attractive.
3M Peltor Protac Shooter SNR 32 dB Active Hearing Protectors - Green
Active hearing protectors powered by two AA batteries. Their user hears ambient sounds not exceeding 82 dB. When impulsive noise occurs (e.g., a gunshot), built-in microphones pick up the sound, and the modern electronics in the protectors immediately reduce harmful noise to a safe level. This allows for maintaining situational awareness and easy communication even during intense shooting.
High level of attenuation and energy saving
According to the European standard value Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR), used to determine the expected sound attenuation, the protectors ProTac Hunter provide attenuation at a level of SNR 32 dB. To ensure better energy savings, after 4 hours of inactivity, the electronics will automatically shut off. If the battery level becomes low, the user will be informed by an appropriate voice message.
Button arrangement and volume control
On one of the muff cups, there are buttons that allow convenient turning on and off, as well as volume adjustment. Weak ambient sounds can be amplified. The adjustable headband ensures a good fit to the head, and the soft ear cushions provide comfort even during long wear.
3.5 mm audio input
The protectors are equipped with an external 3.5 mm audio input, which allows connecting the protectors to devices such as a smartphone or two-way radio.

MILITARY is a premium dealer of Peltor.
Peltor is a Swedish brand whose origins date back to 1950, when Thore Palmaer developed the first set that enabled effective communication in noisy military environments while protecting the user's hearing. The company has gained a reputation as a pioneer in the field of acoustic protection and today operates as part of the 3M group, offering advanced solutions for industry, the military, aviation, and outdoor enthusiasts. One of the brand's key achievements is the ComTac system, which has been used by the military since the late 1990s. This solution provides simultaneous noise protection and situational awareness by digitally suppressing high-intensity sounds and amplifying quieter ones. Another breakthrough in the range is the WS Alert XPV model – the world's first self-sufficient protective headphones with Bluetooth connectivity, equipped with Powerfoyle™ cells that allow solar charging. This technology significantly reduces and often eliminates the need for manual charging, offering users even greater independence and convenience.

Good earmuffs! They're a bit big, but that's understandable given how effective they are at suppressing noise. Conversations are easy to hear, and gunshots are properly muffled. Worth every penny. Made in Sweden, not China. I've used them for 5 years, almost twice a month for 1.5 hours, and never had any problems.

They look big and uncomfortable, but they're lightweight and not tight. The only issue is the materials feel cheap and the plastic leaves a very poor impression.
-
They are indispensable at an indoor range, especially during a series of shots from centerfire weapons. They mute perfectly. They might slightly interfere when aiming with a rifle or shotgun – you just need to get used to it and position yourself properly. It would be good to increase the active mode's operating time because, during a conversation with the referee, the headphones unexpectedly turned off after more than an hour at the range. At this price, they're really worth buying.

Very good earmuffs. You can talk freely at the range, and at the same time, they suppress gunshot sounds excellently. The only issue is their width, which can slightly interfere when aiming with a rifle. You need to adjust your position.
-
Very good headphones. After a few visits to the shooting range, I can say they are really effective. It's better to spend 200-300 PLN more and avoid other unproven models.
-
Excellent protectors. After a year of use, I have no complaints.

Great protective earmuffs. Highly recommend.

These are some of the best protective headphones. However, I’ve heard they are often counterfeited and sometimes it's hard to tell the original from the fake. You’ll find entire discussions about this on forums.

Peltor Protac Shooter headphones are the best hearing protectors I have used. They perfectly reduce loud noises and have great volume control. Thanks to the soft pads, you can wear them for many hours.

They do their job very well.

In my opinion, it's the best choice available. I also tried Hunters and SportTac, but Shooters suppress sounds the best. Hunters are worse (thinner), SportTac has the best electronics. Shooters are the best compromise between price and quality. I definitely recommend them!

I think these protectors are excellent, with a great price-to-quality ratio. I’ve already had several shooting sessions and they perform superbly. They dramatically reduce gunshot noise and conversations are easy to hear. I searched for a long time for the right model, but now I don't regret my choice and recommend them to everyone – tested on an indoor range.

Very good protectors – they are large, but because of that, they block out noise excellently. I also have Earmor M31, which are slimmer and work well with long guns, but they don't suppress sounds as effectively as the Shooters.
-
I use them at a container shooting range – they perfectly dampen the noise, and after a shot, they immediately restore natural sounds. There's no delay, unlike more expensive models from competitors. I've tested different protectors, these are the best.
