These protectors offer the capability to adjust the volume of ambient sounds and conversations as necessary. Advanced electronics shield against both impulse and continuous noise. A listening mode equipped with Mission Audio Profiles (MAP) optimizes hearing quality relative to the acoustic setting. Wide cushions effectively insulate against noise, and the lower section is shaped to avoid interference with shooting. The low-profile headband distributes pressure evenly across the head, allowing users to wear them for extended periods without discomfort. The Peltor ComTac VIII operates on two AAA batteries, offering approximately 50 hours of use. Replacing the batteries merely involves removing the panel on the side of one of the shells. The device includes a low power alert and an automatic shut-off after 4 hours of inactivity.
