Holder tested, and I have to say it's a really good product. I haven't had a chance to try a more expensive aluminum model, but this plastic one does its job very well – it holds perfectly and makes tightening the cord under the tarp easier. I definitely recommend it.
Made of lightweight plastic, the carabiner is used for tightening the line, hooking or securing lighter loads in a safe, secure and very fast way.
It is designed for lines with a diameter of 2 to 5 mm, the carabiner clasp is made of stainless steel. The use of aluminum makes the CamJam capable of operating under loads as high as 280 pounds (127 kg).
The CamJam Cord Tightener offers two uses: as a tensioner (useful for hanging and securing banners, garden lanterns, tarps, tent tensions, etc.) or as a loop adjuster (ideal for tying down, securing carried cargo, etc.).

Nite Ize is an American company from Colorado whose history dates back to 1989, when student Rick Case accidentally dropped the flashlight he was holding in his mouth while night fishing. This situation inspired him to create the Headband Mini Flashlight Holder. Today, the brand's range includes more than 500 innovative EDC accessories, valued for their practical approach to everyday challenges. Nite Ize's reputation was established by the S-Biner, a distinctive double-sided carabiner that gained the status of an icon of functional design, compared to classics such as the Coca-Cola bottle. In 2024, the company received a unique three-dimensional trademark protecting the shape of the S-Biner. Flagship products include Gear Tie, flexible, reusable ties for organizing cables, and Tru Zip, an innovative waterproof zipper without classic teeth. Both solutions perfectly illustrate the brand's design approach: transforming everyday inconveniences into simple, clever tools. Currently, the Nite Ize team has around 250 employees, and the company generates annual revenue exceeding 100 million dollars, operating in markets worldwide.

Great product – light, strong; 5mm paracord fits perfectly. Fantastic for tightening tarp lines. I'm planning to buy more for my tent. Highly recommended!
-
The carabiners are cool – no need to tie knots anymore. They work great for hammock ridgelines and tarp guy lines. We'll see how durable they are, but so far they've survived a trip to the woods without any problems.
-
I recommend it – I've been using the holder for a long time, even in tough conditions. With the right cord, it doesn't lose tension, even with moisture and frost. So far, the material shows no signs of wear.
-
Carabiners tested in practice during tarp setup outdoors – they work excellently, and quick assembly and disassembly is a huge advantage. Even though they're made of plastic, they turn out to be very durable and solid.
-
Works great for installing tarps, and the range of uses really depends on your imagination. The carabiners withstand strong wind with 4x5 tarps, greatly speeding up assembly. Of course, you can do without them, but they definitely make life easier.
-
A multifunctional product made from durable material. I recommend it, but it's important to use the right cord so everything works properly and doesn't slip. It can handle more load than the manufacturer claims.
-
Very practical gadget. The material is solid.
-
Awesome! I tested it today and I'm pleasantly surprised. Although the product is usually described as meant for tarps and light things, I tried using it as a swing for a person weighing 72kg and it held up just fine.
-
Useful product for pitching a tarp. Highly recommended.
-
For this price, it's worth recommending. Just be careful not to damage the plastic by burning.
-
Works well in use. I recommend it.

At first glance it seems unimpressive, but it can be very helpful.
