The MSA 3S Basic full-face gas mask, when paired with filters, canisters, or filter canisters, offers comprehensive respiratory, eye, and facial skin protection against vapors, gases, dust, smoke, mists, and aerosols.
The main component of the mask is crafted from a black rubber compound, while the panoramic visor is constructed from impact- and scratch-resistant acrylic, providing a broad field of vision.
The mask is available in a universal size, with a broad sealing strap and a deep chin indent to ensure a snug fit on any face. Thanks to the convenient head straps, the mask can be swiftly donned and removed without needing to adjust the strap lengths.
The specially designed valve arrangement ensures clear sound transmission and speech clarity while in use. The entire unit is simple to maintain and clean.
The filter respirator connects to the mask with an Rd 40x1/7" connector, conforming to the EN-148-1 standard.
Please note that the mask does not come with a filter absorber; it must be purchased separately or included in a kit.
The 3S Basic meets the EN-136:1998 standard, setting the requirements and tests a mask must pass for approval, indicating it can function continuously in environments with hazardous substances.

Great gas mask. Personally tested, I can say it performs its function perfectly. I recommend everyone to have it on hand in case of unforeseen situations.

It's hard for me to assess it clearly because I'm not familiar with gas masks and have nothing to compare it to. The mask is tight and quite comfortable. The size is easy to adjust, though the straps and buckles may be difficult for people with long hair. Overall, it makes a solid impression and inspires my trust in a crisis situation.
