It needs to be sharpened a bit, because being so light it doesn't dig well when it's dull. They say it can rust, but the paint can chip anyway – just take care of it and no rust will appear. For this price it's amazing, I highly recommend it, just keep in mind that it's a very small shovel. The handle alone is really worth it.
