Camouflage Splinter Camo

Splinter Camo is a classic camouflage pattern characterized by angular shapes, developed in Germany in the 1930s. First introduced by the German army as Splittertarnmuster, used among others by Wehrmacht units during World War II. It consists of large, sharp-edged spots in various shades of green, brown, and gray, printed on a contrasting background - often with small lines resembling rain (known as rain pattern). The geometric arrangement of spots was designed to blur the outline of the silhouette, particularly from a greater distance, proving to be highly effective in forested areas. Splinter Camo significantly influenced European camouflage patterns, inspiring later designs used in countries such as Sweden (M90), Switzerland, and East Germany.
