Mil-Tec Professional Catalytic Heater - Black

The catalytic hand warmer is crafted to heat the body in cold conditions. It's an effective heat source ideal for hiking, mountain expeditions, or prolonged outdoor activities. Best used when tucked in a pocket near the chest or inserted into gloves to heat the hands. Additionally, it serves to dry gloves or footwear.

Durable metal housing, fuel tank

The housing is made of zinc alloy in black color. The lower part of the device contains a fuel tank filled with an absorbent fabric to prevent accidental leakage.

Flameless burner, safe use

The heater should be filled with a substance like lighter fluid through the top opening. A flameless burner, safeguarded by a removable cover, is situated here. Once filled, the catalyst needs a brief heating period—after initiation, the device will produce warmth for around 5–8 hours.

Thanks to the catalyst, the heating process is smokeless, efficient, and completely safe by neutralizing the emitted gases. Heat results from the regulated combustion of fuel vapors within the catalyst chamber.

The price is acceptable. The product is made very solidly. It works without any problems and really heats well. For people who are often cold, this is a gadget worth having. Personally, in emergency situations, I would probably choose a gel heater (although it works for a shorter time), because it takes up less space in a backpack—you need to also carry fuel for this model. I haven't checked yet if the fuel evaporates when stored 'filled.' I plan to get the opinion of the person I gave it to, and maybe in the future I'll buy one for myself.

Great product for people who plan to stay in low temperatures for a long time. It works perfectly in a sleeping bag or under a jacket. It's small enough to fit in your hand and keeps pleasant warmth. Be careful not to accidentally choose regular heaters. Initially, the heater worked for about two hours, but after a few uses, the operating time increased to six hours. To turn off the device, I separate the heater from the rest of the equipment with a knife. Highly recommended.

I was surprised how well this heater works. It warms very effectively, especially when placed in a chest pocket. It has a long operating time, is compact, and economical in use.

Mil-Tec Professional Heater - Black is solidly built and easy to use – just be careful not to overfill with gasoline when refilling.

Works properly. Ignition instructions: remove the catalyst, pour in gasoline, put the catalyst back on. Before lighting, both the housing and the catalyst have to be dry. Light it with a lighter until the catalyst glows (10-15 seconds). After about 30 minutes, it heats up well. To extinguish, just cut off the air supply – I put it in a jar for a moment and that worked.

I was skeptical about the effectiveness of this type of device and still haven't formed a full opinion, as I've only used the heater for tests last winter. Overall, the impressions are positive. It warms the hands nicely, and when I put it in the chest pocket under the jacket, it warmed up quickly there – I even had to slightly unzip the jacket to cool off. We don't get severe winters here, but you never know what might happen. I also think that in an emergency, such equipment could help you survive the cold longer.

I couldn't find a practical use for this heater! When you hold it in your hands, it heats, but in a pocket, sock, or under a sweatshirt it stops working or goes out. Lots of problems with fuel and the catalyst. It leaks at the connection point. At most, it heated for 4 hours without the case. This is not a product for expeditions or survival, maybe just for fishing to warm your hands in the car. That's just my opinion.

I was not sure about the effectiveness of this type of product and still have little experience, since I used the heater only as a test last winter. Overall, positive impressions. Hands get pleasantly warm, and after putting it in my chest pocket, I even had to unzip my jacket to cool down. Our winters aren't too harsh, but this item would probably help prolong survival in tough conditions.

I was amazed at how much heat this heater gives. A few hours of warmth during winter outdoor outings is really a comfortable solution. After turning it on, you should wait about 30–60 minutes for the device to reach full power.

Mil-Tec Professional heater works great. I fill it with fuel just before use, even outdoors. The device provides several hours of steady heat. I wear it under my jacket, hung around my neck on a lanyard, and my clothes don’t pick up the fuel smell.

The warmer worked great during colder days on mountain hikes. Kept in my jacket pocket, it effectively warmed my hands. I previously used disposable warmers, but this one is better because it can be used many times. I recommend it!

Mil-Tec Professional is a good and affordable warmer, but it requires some skill to use. You can’t expect it to work immediately after starting it in low temperatures outdoors. In my experience, it’s best to carefully fill it with fuel at home and avoid overfilling. Then put on the heating element, heat it lightly with a flame, and let it warm up indoors. Only then you can put the device into the pouch and take it on a walk.

I can confidently recommend this warmer, even though I was initially skeptical. A full tank of Zippo fuel lasted 8.5 hours of work. The catalytic heater has been working for almost 30 hours for me. I recommend buying extra heaters right away for those interested. I’m also testing how it works with EliCo fuel.

If you pour a little more fuel into the heater than the instructions suggest, it can run almost all day. I keep it in my pocket now, but it works best when you put it in your sleeping bag before going to sleep.

Great heater, works perfectly during night watches – I put it in my pocket and it gives off heat well, so I don’t freeze. It’s small in size, so it even fits into a glove, which is very important. The heater keeps warm for several hours, so it’s really worth having.
