Woodland, also known as US Woodland or M81, is a classic camouflage pattern introduced to the U.S. military in the early 1980s, based on the earlier ERDL pattern. For over two decades, it was the standard pattern used by the U.S. military until the end of the first decade of the 21st century. It features large, irregular patches in shades of green, brown, beige, and black, providing excellent concealment and distortion properties, particularly in wooded areas.
